Morgan Sunday Service 17/4/2016

Factory tours and more at this weekend's very special Sunday Service

Spring has seemingly sprung at last! So what better place for our next Sunday Service than a car maker renowned for its thrilling open-top sports cars?

For the third year running Morgan has kindly agreed to open its doors to PistonHeads, offering up to 250 PHers (reduced due to parking restrictions) the privilege of a rare glimpse behind the scenes with a factory tour. Operating from the same factory that built the first Morgan back in 1910, the cars are still predominantly assembled by hand and many of the original processes involved in manufacturing a Morgan car remain in place today.

Attendees will also also have the chance to experience 15-minute passenger rides in a Morgan through the Malvern Hills in exchange for a charitable donation of just £10. These will be held on a first come, first served basis. There will also be the usual opportunity to purchase refreshments and merchandise throughout the morning.

Add your name to the calendar here.

The details are:

Morgan Motor Company
Pickersleigh Road
Malvern Link
Worcestershire
WR14 2LL

Make sure you put your name down quickly for this one as we are limited to 300 spaces.

We look forward to seeing you in Malvern!

Ollie

Baby due this Friday.. If theres still no action at the business end on Sunday morning I'll be there. I even have permission from my better half. 1 hour door to door if I need to make a sharp exit!

On the list, is it okay to bring guests? Bringing the Mrs & 2 friends who live very close by.

Will all be in one car though just conscious of spaces for tour

Was one of the best Sunday Services last year, staff so informative, and amazing to see the cars hand built.

Is it true the site was chosen so the cars could free wheel between build stages?

What's the crack with +1s ? Is it limited to 300 people in total is can you bring a +1 or do you have to be on the list individually? Looking forward to this one

Eh?

The timetable of SS events has been published. Look for the topic at the top of the SS forum.

Limited to 300 cars. You could bring a Renault espace full of people if you wanted.

I may be wrong, but I don't think the SS factory tour is a full one?
It's still a great morning out, as has been said one of the best Sunday Services, Morgan staff were really welcoming & enthusiastic.
Would recommend that people splash out & have a ride in a Morgan (I went in the three wheeler biggrin )
