I would guess they are referring to the digital service the DVLA offers now. When I hired a car last month I had to log onto the DVLA website and they give you a code to give to the other party to be able to view your points etc. This can only be used once and has a short expiry date if remember correctly, like 48hrs or so.

As well a code you can download and print a PDF, sounds like they want you to do that and take it with you. Will be a lot less hassle for them than being given just a code and having to check it themselves.

We'll find out all the info and supply it along with the entry tickets next week, so don't panic!

My money would be on them not updating their policy as I've had this several times at other circuits since the new rule came in.

Hurry up and tell me me I've won a track place in the draw - if so I need to sort some insurance out to go with my shiny new crash helmet smile

If we are displaying are cars on here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

do we need to sign up for the sunday service to have track time. I currently am but don't want to take up a space if there is no need.

Hi,

You definitely DON'T need to have your name on the list as this would use up the 2x free tickets that someone else could have (you already have these as part of displaying your car)

Regarding the track time, I'll speak to the organisers as I'm not sure you'll be able to move your car easily once it is displayed...

To everyone else, the email with joining instructions and info about the track driving will be going out on Friday Morning.

Nope - haven't drawn them out of the hat yet. We had about 75 applications for the 60 spaces, so the chances of getting time are pretty good though!

When I send the joining instructions I'll clearly include if you are / aren't going on track (if you are you'll also be given instructions for that too)

Any idea what time the track sessions are? Are they 2 x 20min with 30 places in each?

Thanks for sorting all this its going to be awesome on and off the track!

God I'm 108 on the list now. I'm hoping and praying 8 people drop out between now and tomorrow lunchtime! Would be a lovely little birthday present for the wife this weekend if I can scrape in.

Oh no, you've just reduced the chances of the previous 100 of getting on the track...

Today is decision day, if you're attend or not!

Quote....

Only put your name down if you're 100 per cent, definitely, absolutely, positively going to come. We've worked really hard on this Sunday Service and each place is valuable. We will take an extremely dim view of ANYONE who removes their name from the list after Thursday July 28 or doesn't turn up. It is selfish and extremely unfair, especially given the value of the event and the small allocation that we have.

Come on James, stop being a tease & put us all out our misery....I need to know whether I should 'buff' my helmet as well as the car before Sunday (we need some hilarity to pass the wait hehe ). Now where are my string backed driving gloves?? driving

Whatever the outcome, I'm sure we'll all have a great time in true PH fashion thumbup
