Sorry, I didn't think there was any point drawing the names until tomorrow (Friday) morning as I figured that the list would keep jumping around.

Given the stern warnings I've given I'm going to assume that all members still on the list tomorrow morning will be attending!

Hi James,

Sorry to push but when are we going to know about track time ?

I need to get prepping my MR2 if I'm going on track or fixing / cleaning my MX5 if I'm not

(I'm working Sat)

Thanks

I've just removed my track time request from the notes so hopefully someone can benefit from that.

Hi All,

Emails are all sent, and as previously mentioned no further amendments will be made to the attendance list or the track sessions as there has been plenty of time for people to mull it over and decide if they want to come or not!

Enjoy the event!

JD

(Just FYI, sadly I'm not going to be there this weekend as I'm at a wedding... BOOOO! However, Ben L will be there looking after everyone so if you have any questions just ask him.)

I hope everyone's been reading the tickets.

Arrive 8 - 8.30 as usual with an SS but earliest Track session is 4pm

I know a couple of members are having to cancel as they have commitments in the afternoon.

Likewise quite a few from our group have done the same.

Looks like the draw was made before I removed my self from the track time request list and I have a place in the second session (4.40). I will still be attending the show but not using my track time, is it possible to give this place to someone else?

It seems I've been wrong allocated a track session (I did initially request it, but I really don't want or need it) My note was changed 30 seconds after putting track time.

I will definitely still be attending, but please allocate the track session to someone else. I don't want someone to miss out!

James - I'll email you too, in case you're not keeping an eye on this!

I didnt get a track place and have therefore cancelled my attendance at this event. Some may see that as petty but to me it was the main attraction to this event and the only reason i decided to attend. Without the track time its difficult to justify 9 hours parked at Donington.

I suspect a lot of people will cancel after receiving the email as they probably didn't realise the event forces them to stay from 8:30am to 5:30pm. It will be very unfair to punish PH users who remove their names today as the actual full details weren't released until today and the timetable is very different to usual Sunday services. Such a shame full details weren't released earlier.

Hi Everyone,

I'm afraid that we can't change the allocations for the track time. I'd suggest that if you are attending and want to go on track that you go to the pit garages at the top of the pits an hour before the PH sessions and speak to the organisers - if there are no shows I guess they'll be able to allocate them on a first come first served basis, but this will be at their discretion.

As for those who are pulling out purely because you didn't get track time, that's really unfair on the people who will now miss out because of your decision. I've made it clear all along that we won't change the allocation of spaces after Thursday. In fact, I said this which you would have to have read before you signed up:

Article said:
"Only put your name down if you're 100 per cent, definitely, absolutely, positively going to come. We've worked really hard on this Sunday Service and each place is valuable. We will take an extremely dim view of ANYONE who removes their name from the list after Thursday July 28 or doesn't turn up. It is selfish and extremely unfair, especially given the value of the event and the small allocation that we have."

Can I ask James why is attendance to the event on a first come first served but the track time done on a draw? Seems strange to run 2 different selection methods for the same event. People including myself would feel less dissapointed had the track time been done on a first come first served basis and it would have avoided the problems seen above where people who wanted track time didn't get it and people who didn't want it have been given track time.

Also in regards to the track session how do they know who is who? Guessing just go and give user name if you've got track time?

Have to agree with this, as I cannot stay around all day until 4pm for a track session. Would still like to attend the morning meet, but will have to relinquish my track slot for others to hopefully use

Same here frown PH SS events have traditionally been morning affairs, giving those of us with commitments the chance to attend, but then get home for lunchtime. If the article had stated track time was 4pm onwards, I'd not have put my name down. I am very much looking forwards to attending and will offer anyone wishing to stay until the end my track slot.

Same for me. I can't hang about that long, I have never attended a SS that went that late, let alone past 1pm even.

James I have mailed you, I expect you will be inundated though. Can I give my slot to someone else that CAN use it please? If that is the case, disregard my email and i'll get it sorted this end. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Hello James,

In my e-mail it says 'Congratulations, you have been allocated a place in track session 1, which is at 16:00.'

But I didn't ask for a track session, typo or have I been given it by mistake. Don't want anybody missing out because of it
