Full English was available in the Aero Club Cafe from 9am.
Probably beat my single rasher of st bacon and a tasteless egg in a stale bun for £5.40 from the cataering van near the paddocks.

Certainly better than waiting for 30 minutes like I did.

I was surprised not to see the goodwood NAAFI wagon but I thought it may have been stored away for Christmas?

I'd like to make a huge thank you to Pistonheads and everyone that organised this SS.

I took my other halves Granddad, who has a huge passion for cars but doesn't go out too much. Driving there we were talking about his past cars, and his favourite being his old Triumph GT6 he had exported to South Africa. He's been back in the country 15 years and was telling me he'd never seen once since moving back to UK.

Well, what was parked up? A blooming Triumph GT6! In his exact words, "I'd thought I'd never get to see one of these again", and got a bit emotional. If you owned that Triumph, thank you, you made his day!

The power of the car community, you're all awesome!

Sorry for the slightly wet post, Asides that, I had an awesome day, what an epic collection of cars! As echoed, was a really friendly day.
Hi, i have the GT6 smile its more than my pleasure to know that it put a smile on someones face smile i almost didnt make it due to a dead animal ripping my exhaust off (i don't know how either, cars just too low)

If you or your other halves Granddad would ever like a trip out in the gt6, i would be more than happy to take you out (as long as you aren't too far away lol)

Just send me an email smile Oliverbarker09@gmail.com

I wasn't there so perhaps shouldn't comment but having dipped into the video why do you find the chap who does this stuff so annoying? Seemed alright to me, same as that other one Smee. Not something I'd ever watch because I prefer something with a bit of substance like Harry Metcalfe but he seems inoffensive to me. confused

The use of the word "frickin" constantly.

Obviously used in place of a sweary word but just unnecessary.

TBH I can live without all the car blogs n vids.

That ture and it's an indication of a limited vocabulary, he can't emphasis how much he likes a car using normal language so he uses "frikkin" all the time but I agree not something I'd watch.

Ha! I was just about to say precisely the same thing.

Otherwise he wasn't too objectionable, although that's the first one I've seen and I suspect he would soon get a bit weary.

The NAAFI wagon is being rebuilt and restored over the winter. The wagon you used is a temporary fixture until the return, when normal service will be back.

Ah, I think you followed me around the roundabout twice heading into Goodwood when I missed the exit - sorry about that.

Thank you Pistonheads and Goodwood for an excellent weekend. It was my first time visiting Goodwood and Saturday's track day was awesome, everyone really friendly and the track one of those places that makes the rest of the world disappear. The little Alfa felt so happy and content charging round and saved me from falling off the track more than once. The sounds of the other cars going flat out up the start finish track made the butterflies settle a little while waiting my next turn and it is hard to pick a favourite from them, like trying to decide my top ten albums. The R8's V8 sounded lovely, the Subarus deep and menacing with flames shooting from their exhausts, lighting the way ahead on track. Then there was the Exige with it's supercharger or the Hondas and their neck tingling VTECs. Such a good day and chuffed to bits being mentioned on the Sunday Service review and by fellow PHer ash.
could not have put it better myself. Saturday was a really good day, like you said you just become absorbed by Goodwood and the motor circuit. Always a good collection of different machinery hurtling around the track!

A LOT of people really don't care about the 'two bucket' method, lambs wool mitts and ultra expensive products. They just want their cars cleaned by someone else quickly so they can drive them and get them dirty again! Detailing is for people who have too much money and are a bit too precious about their cars....IMO of course! smile
Actually it's all about 'standards'. Being lazy, adopting either a contrived or a real 'couldn't care less' attitude is nothing to be proud about. Many seem only too happy to be scruffy & untidy & have no standards of behaviour or in their lifestyle. Maybe a sort of reverse snobbery.
Most take pride in their appearance possessions & behaviour, in other words they have 'standards' but sadly we live in a world where the oik rules.

That will teach you. Most people only let Goodwoods own catering rip them off once. The NAAFI van IS fun but managed by a very shouty abrupt rude lady.

Either I've had one beer too many or this person is calling you (and me) a scruffy oik for not using 2 buckets and a wash mitt? You'll be telling me not to use Fairy's finest next... I'm not sure what's happening but I need another beer...

Classic PH eh?! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I haven't washed one of our cars for about 3 months so guessing I'm also contributing to the downfall of society.
