We are just planning our annual roadtrip for 2017.

This time it will be Spa Classic in May.

Just looking for any tips on accommodation, bars and stuff for this event.

We will sail from Hull. A group of us in an old Buick. Need parking for an 18ft long car....

We have stayed here a few times. The owners have several holiday homes to let, sleeping 4, 8 and 14 people. About 20 mins from the circuit, very quiet (and safe for cars), although there are no pubs/restaurants within walking distance.

Have you considered an organised trip/ someone else sorting the accommodation etc?

I've been with these guys a few times, well organised, really good fun. Lots of options available, have a look at the link below.

I have heard that over 150 people have booked with Fasttracktours and that the Hotels are nearly full. I have been to Spa Classic before and it is one the THE best motor sport events !! Don't miss it..

This idea is really great! Have you planned to make in one more time in the nearest future?

Spa is great, the atmosphere is very laid back a few shops and stalls selling the usual stuff. Also there was a stall selling silicone hoses and parts which really helped one of our guys out when he burst a hose on track!

Watch the Speed cameras on the motorways if going around Brussels, bloody things are everywhere.

My group stayed in The Hotel Verviers in Verviers.
https://www.hotelverviers.be/ There are other hotels nearer the Circuit but this was great for us.

We then drove over to the circuit each day. We also did the track laps.
Great Weekend.
Much better atmosphere than Le mans IMO

A Word about Parade laps. If you have ever seen Parade laps at the Silverstone classic it is exactly that, You might get 1 lap with a short sprut here and there most of it at Very slow speed!

The Peter Auto Parade laps at Spa and Le mans are Very different! You really can Go for it driving So it really is worth making sure your car is in tip top condition before getting on the circuit. Also be very aware of whats in your rear view mirror or wing mirrors. The pace cars are usually 458 Ferraris and I can tell you they don't hang about!
Check your fluids and hoses, driving around Spa you will see the temp gauges in the car rise fast.
I would 100% recommend a Helmet and other race attire.
You don't have to follow everyone else around the track, If you have a open track to the side of another car just go past.
Have fun.
