I wonder if any of this would've happened if there wasn't a congregation of kids with iPads/phones/cameras stationed a the exit? I'm sure drivers would feel less compelled to show off if there isn't an audience for them.
Peer pressure, from the yoof? rofl

What are they, nine years old or something?
Clearly they are - at least from an emotional standpoint. Have you not seen the videos or read the rest of this thread?

Seriously. It was worse at the Top Cats event. I felt genuinely embarrassed driving back through the small country villages with all the knuckle heads in their Mustangs making as much noise as they could. No wonder owning a fast car is about as socially acceptable as taking a leak at the Alamo. The worst, and most laughable are those that stopped, then thought to engage launch control. All a bit embarrassing quite frankly and I really hope that Prodrive allow PH and others back to their facility.

Yey, the mob and pitchforks are here!

People need to calm down a bit, because realistically the next action is owners won't bother turning up, and then you'll have lovely quiet peaceful Sunday Services with bugger all to look at.

Mods, points been made clearly by PH, any benefit in leaving this thread open?

Hi
Well ok the event was great the cars were a mixed bag which is good.
People on here say youngsters are filming cars leaving yes that is true, but you can still drive off and still get filmed. My son was one of those people and he loves cars just like his Dad, these youngster will one day have cars and will go to these events which is good!!! I like a mix of cars and people.
Sorry I did not come in one of my nice cars. I just came in my Golf GTD, people judge on cars saying it should be just more high end no it should be open to everyone, as not all have a large pockets and the ideas is to bring petrol heads together to look at the different cars.

Pistonheads looking forward to the next event thank you.

Jason
