That morris discount is rubbish. I checked last year and didn't make a difference. I've always used insuremytrackday and will stick to using it. Straight forward website and can't complain too much at pricing.
been doing a bit of quote checking today & they're currently best; plus, like you say, nice easy to use online quote system.Jacko22 said:

Insuremytrackday want £120 to cover me for "morning only" on a £20k car. I have v little experience of all this but that doesn't feel great value.Other than voice on the forums that it is not condoned behaviour, is anything being done differently at the Silverstone Sunday Service to try and avoid the mindlessness displayed at the exit of the Prodrive event?
I've no want to have association with anything of the sort, to the extent I am rethinking attending, hence the question. I see the event is still being publicised on Facebook.

£190ish for £30k.
Will be sorting early next week - it's just not worth the risk for me, especially as it's first time & weather forecast says may be damp.
But what does that cover and what's the excess? Will be sorting early next week - it's just not worth the risk for me, especially as it's first time & weather forecast says may be damp.
Most track day insurance seem to charge the same for an all day open garage as a 1/2 hour session. I'm not saying 1/8th the track time should be 1/8th the premium, but there should be a reduced risk from reduced laps shouldn't there?

Moris Last year for the limited Sunday Service track time for me was £75 on a £20k car with rescue cover if I needed to trailer it home.

Well, unless they sort themselves out soon or PH rescue it early next week, insuremytrackdays will get my business. Most track day insurance seem to charge the same for an all day open garage as a 1/2 hour session. At Silverstone there is a much greater distance between the Sunday Service location and the public road, so less of an issue.I've no want to have association with anything of the sort, to the extent I am rethinking attending, hence the question. Whilst I agree it doesn't help PH with their hosts and I left quietly, it was hardly rape and pillage...I've no want to have association with anything of the sort, to the extent I am rethinking attending, hence the question. I see the event is still being publicised on Facebook.
perhaps it's best you don't come, delete PH and transfer to Mumsnet.
That must be one of the fullest sign up lists I have seen for a while. I wonder how many hundreds will drop out in the final days.
You always get a little bit of 'loudness' as people drive in at the back of the car park. Never seems to be an issue though. Having people on track helps reduce this a little too. Hopefully no accidents this year!

Agreed, it is pretty much a non-issue with Silverstone. Although I am sure there will be some interesting driving on the approach roads. You always get a little bit of 'loudness' as people drive in at the back of the car park. This would be my first Sunday service, does anybody have an idea how far down the reserve list they usually get? I assume at 700+ I have two hopes...little and none?
The last Silverstone Sunday Service they were able to extend the list so stay hopeful. if not 200 drop outs is a big ask, although the weather isn't looking great and you'd be surprised how many people have family engagements they had completely forgotten and can't get out of that they suddenly remember Friday or Saturday night when the weather forecast is confirmed as poor! lezdix said:
