One single thing that makes you think "knob"

I have a piece of film of that, I must find it and post it up.Mind you I've heard that it's know for people to break the speed limit on that road, though not when the trucks are side-by-side obviously.

To be entirely honest HGV drivers seem to cause the least litres of piss boiled per mile in my opinion.
Its just when an 18 wheel truck fks up you notice it more than Mr Ofemi's L reg Micra.
This is true. Its just when an 18 wheel truck fks up you notice it more than Mr Ofemi's L reg Micra.
But because of the size of their vehicle they have a MUCH greater responsibility to other road users than the average driver. I know most do take this into consideration though.

How do you know what most hgv drivers (or anyone else) do or think? But because of the size of their vehicle they have a MUCH greater responsibility to other road users than the average driver. I know most do take this into consideration though.
Myself I feel I have the same responsibility to all other people at all times, ie, I must do no harm to others. This doesn't change at any time or for any reason. If I hurt someone with my car I don't think my punishment should be less because I didn't hurt them with a lorry, indeed I have far less excuse for hurting someone with a car because cars are extremely easy to operate.
I have to take greater care with a lorry because they are harder to operate, although why so many people drive like they do whenever they're near a lorry will always remain a mystery to me. The sheer lack of the self-survival instinct in so many people is amazing.

I think you're agreeing with me whilst trying to argue with me.
I take appropriate care for each vehicle, but I consider my responsibility to others to be exactly the same regardless of the vehicle. From what I used to see, most road users took little responsibility for myself or themselves whenever they got near an hgv. On a regular basis I would experience total strangers placing their lives in my hands, in that they would place themselves in danger and rely on me to get them out of it.
The fact that you have more potential to cause harm means you have a greater responsibility.
I can hurt someone with my driving much more than I can with my cycling, so when I'm driving I have more responsibility to others.
I can sympathise how it must be hard when driving a vehicle with poor visibility and manoeuvrability when surrounded by people not paying attention to what they're doing.

Indeed, put your potential to cause harm increases with the size of your vehicle, and therefor the need to be observant/calm/etc does too.

I live near Richmond Park and whilst I have nothing against cyclists I have seen this happen a few times recently. I've also almost been hit by a cyclist who's steering control came second to her speaking on her mobile. It's people like that, that give cyclists a bad name.HairbearTE said:

You're a daft .Yes, and me, which was a bit time consuming.
Although what I said wasn't really true and I'm not sure why I said it. I used to see clearly why people had so much trouble 'cos I used to see so much fkwit driving. I used to spend all day watching people drive in a way I never would.
I think it's when I come on PH and read all the moaning and think "how do they have so much trouble".
As I repeatedly say, when I'm in my car all I ever notice of hgvs is that they seem to be very slow and I'm just zooming past them all the time.
