Liquid Knight said: This sign... ...had to be designed, put before a spending committee, approved, designated to a company, who then had to appraise it, finalise it, draft it, have that draft approved by the client, final design profiled, manufactured and erected. Not one of the dozens of people who were involved in the process said... "Hang on shouldn't that be "Past" and not "Passed"?" ... Now if they'd stuck to the traditional "beyond" there, none of that would have happened. But they have to make it simple in case people don't understand what "Beyond" means, and go looking for someone who used to be in an American all-girl group. In fact, I nominate anyone who works in a printing or signwriting company and doesn't proof-read signs before they make them, in case their customers are illiterate. Round here we've got a van written with something like "Stuart's Garden Service's", a pub with rooms and three signs that spell "accomodation" in three different ways (I guess just to be sure one is correct). Do sign-makers offer two prices, one to do as they're told, and another to actually make sure it is spelt correctly?

Racing each other, undertaking on the hard shoulder and especially the muppet who suddenly decided he needed to overtake me, pull in and brake. Well done guys. There's a picture of the convoy on the JAM-Sport FB page, two comments: "whats the total BHP off all these cars added together? " "2000bhp+....just in that line of Focus's....And we gave every one of the ponies a stretch of their legs on the way to National Day!!" Shame really, they are a really big and popular tuning company for Ford's but hearing this has put me off them if they are just tools. If you want shoddy workmanship, work supposedly done to a car that isn't, inflated bills, and the worst mapping that I have ever seen (they take out all the safety triggers to cut boost in their maps, nuts & bye bye engine) Plus a workshop that is on the way to a quarry, so everything is covered in a thick layer of dust then don’t use these cowboys. The driving you witnessed, sums up their approach to their work & customers, that they dont give a crap. Yet whenever anyone gets the Mountune (opposite to these guys in every way by the sound of the above) treatment on their Focus, people on the one make forum I frequent will pop up and say "should've gone to Jam-Sport and saved yourself lots of money and got 9,000,000 bhp instead of just 350/375" (insert your own spelling mistakes and "innit bruvs").

Indeed. Rest assured, it is down most of the time, including on cold clear winter days. Just that jumping to conclusions can be bad - and to think "knob" is a bit harsh compared to some of the truly knobby behaviour on the roads...

The weapons grade knob-end driving the silver Evo in Shrewsbury earlier today.
Covered in stupid stickers (the shocker, a "POKED YOUR MUM ON FACEBOOK" sticker, one of those "Neverbeen" stickers etc.) and with a drift charm hanging off the rear end.
Worse than that, he's presumably just had an anti-lag system or something fitted. Driving around the town centre, in very built up areas with lots of people and small children running around, and he's revving it up high and either going nowhere or just going small distances, but the pops and bangs on the over-run were so incredibly loud and frequent that I'm honestly surprised he wasn't pulled over by the police car a few cars in front of us.
Turn it on the for track, but keep it off around town. No-one's impressed, they all just think you're a cock.

People who title thread with "talk to me" after the topic of discussion. It's a stupid little thing to get annoyed about and I know it's from a program called "Facejacker" but taken out of context; catchphrase comedy simply doesn't work. So much so that if someone uses it I tend to ignore the thread unless it's about a topic I particularly like or know about.
My sister ruined Mr Strange for me by saying "Milky milky" over cornflakes one morning and I hate it when people say a catchphrase in a pub and expect to get a laugh or some kind of credit for it. There's a time and place for for catchphrase comedy, please stick to it.

Just because you own a convertible doesn't mean you have to put the top down every time the sun is out...do you drive your car on the limit if you are just nipping to the shops?

I thought it was a myth. On the contrary - soundth like a direct hit.

If I recall correctly the chap got done for animal cruelty, at least two sections of the Firearms Act and nearly ended up in prison. Discharging a firearm within a certain distance from a private residents and discharging a firearm within a distance of public highway I think.

doogz said: Man up, it's warm enough. it certainly is, if its not raining, the roof should be off otherwise whats the flippin point of having a car where the roof comes off, the least warm i have had the roof down was 5.5 degs going over the Milau bridge. My reason for the post was after observing a number of numpties this morning driving to work, without passengers, dont know about a full boot, but pleasant conditions, warm and sunny, if you dont want to take the roof off they why bother having a convertible, ergo, knob
