Yawn. Zero interest. You'd be absoutely nuts to pay the asking price for one of these new.
Plus it's a Vauxhall.
I dont understand this. Why comment then?Plus it's a Vauxhall.
Its crazy expensive but... it looks pretty good for a Corsa. It also looks like they've done it properly rather than sticking an electronic 'diff' on it and some big wheels.
I like this.
Properly developed by Opel racing arm with cost no object components and refined by a BTCC driver.
I can see why they did the press day on a track but they missed a trick by not doing what Ferrari normally do and let the people driving have a little go on the normal roads round the track too.
I think the people who buy this will be those who aren't badge snobs and enjoy a fun car with enough power, not excessive power.
The seats really are bleedin high though - I'd never be able to fit my legs under the steering wheel :-(

Nice write up.
Would be interested to see one of these up close - a couple of friends drive 'normal' Corsa VXR's and I've had a quick shot of a couple.
Interested to know how this one would actually compare to the standard VXR.
Still a rather hefty price tag for a small hatchback though!
You could pick up 2-3 second hand VXR's for that price

Why wouldn't you just buy an ordinary one or a Renaultsport Clio and pocket over 5 grand? Great car, I don't doubt it, but the price??
Agree. It dosen't matter how you dress it up, its still a Vauxhall Corsa and not worth the money. RenaultSport 200 with Cup chassis is such a good car and for around £15,000 if you negotiate. nouze said:
Somewhere out there in the dark wild world people can and do overtake, this great stat shows how fast you can overtake and reflects torque and gear set up.
I would have thought that 60-100 would have been a more useful stat for that, although as someone mentioned earlier it seems to be a Euro zone 130-190kph test.timmather said:
Its no wonder new car sales aren't doing that well, imagine all the beauties you could have for £22K, E46 M3,
Very good point, and for another £2k you get yourself into the current E90 M3! http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2301051.htm
Trouble is it doesn't come with 0% and free insurance and all that jazz, which is what youngsters need given the high cost of motoring for under 25s these days.
