As well as those Alloys I think the magazine got some steel wheels 'banded', and got Janspeed to make up the exhaust.
I knew I'd seen that before somewhere - practical classics. 2007.

Do you want one of these ?

You need to get in touch with Martyn Marrocco in Malton, North Yorkshire. He has done several for customers I understand. He is really a bodywork man and works in partnership with someone on the mechanical side I understand.

Why do you need LSD to spin both wheels?

Great line :-)

And love the picture of it laying 11's on the airstrip.

With an unlocked diff, one wheel will have slightly less traction and will light up leaving the other not doing much.

You see, there are supercars, and then there are cheaper yet more appealing super cars.

I'll take one, tomorrow.

Love that, whiffy old Merc with a V8, full on Stuttgart taxi looks with Bobby Ewings (Ask your mum) engine.

I met someone who was putting a 560 engine and suspension into a W123 230CE, he was using a manual gearbox from a W123 ambulance to cope with the torque. It wasn't finished when I last saw him though.

Truly epic.

Never had the W123, prefer the W124 personally.

But, wow! Would love a W123 Coupe one day.

They should stick e '240D' badge on the back, to confuse people even more!

Solid build quality - when Mercs knew how to do things properly.

What a machine, and those 'M117' engines are superb, bullet-proof units.

I can vouch for this after disappointing some onlookers
