Cracking idea.

I'm assuming this is the same Adrian Mounter who bought my old W124 E500.
Yes,I'm afraid it is.....!
Still got that of course & loving it every time I take it out.

Do you want one of these ?

You need to get in touch with Martin Marrocco in Malton, North Yorkshire. He has done several for customers I understand. He is really a bodywork man and works in partnership with someone on the mechanical side I understand.
Do you have contact details? My Googling failed me...
Sorry - didn't have details to hand yesterday. And I spelled Martyn wrong - not that it would help much as advertising is mostly by reputation which is why Google has failed you.

I can now also confirm the mechanicals side is by another Martyn - Martyn Ball from V8 Conversions, I believe in Ilfracombe. Again - he is low profile from what I can find.

However, Martyn Marrocco is on 01653 692309. As stated - he is really bodywork restoration, but would be able to put you in contact. Martyn is really busy as its just him and the wife so please only contact if you seriously want to examine the option of this Q car.

Just the coolest car, I want one so much now I was looking at the e30 in the garage and thinking it could make way for a W123 quite easily.

Love it. It looks exactly the same as the B reg 230 I drove around Cardiff back in the early 00's kindly loaned to me by the taxi driver who picked me up from Bristol airport every week (Shout out to Mikeof Wilson & Wilson if you are on here - last time we spoke you were racing a Saab in the Castle Combe Saloon Car Series). It had over 300k miles, and lovely bouncy seats, and looked PIMP. Even with the standard engine it could cruise along at 120mph no problem. I loved it so much that one weekend I didn't fly, and drove it from the office in Cardiff directly to Brigghouse for the Top Car auction. Did it in about 2 hours if I recall no problem. I bought a 4 year old 98 E320 for the wife on Valentines day to replace her Golf. Didn't quite have the looks but was also a great cruiser.

Ah memories................... Think Mike sold it to his cousin for 750 quid. Was tempted to buy it at the time.

Thanks; I will do more research before calling him. Appreciated.

Lovely and mental. I think I'd have to do something about the skinnies but the loss of "stealth" would be a shame.

I'd love to see that come up against a fully "Barry'd" Corsa/Clio, I suspect I'd probably rupture something laughing though!

A standard W123 280E would see off that kind of car without too much bother, let alone this one.

Leaving the V8 in the donor car also has the same result.
