Tremendous picture... but God, what an ugly car.
It's part of the EU pedestrian safety regulations. Make cars so ugly that pedheads dive into the nearest bush to avoid looking at it, thereby reducing pedestrian/vehicle accident statistics*.- Pedestrian/tree impalement statistics go up, but that's another department's target.

I think that its looks work well as a rally car - it looks truly mental - like it’s got Rabies or something!
As a road car it looks like a turd.
Works well, as in less hideous, agree that the road version looks like a turd, one delivered by an aging, parasite infested Poodle on a strict Vindaloo and blue pop based diet.As a road car it looks like a turd.

Stunning piccy but.....
I bet they wont get felt up for having that stick-on undersized numberplate!!!
Fecking rozzers.....
They did not like mine....
No tax disc either - I thought WRC cars had to be road legal in their country of registration.I bet they wont get felt up for having that stick-on undersized numberplate!!!

As for the Police not liking your undersized plate: why did you put it on then?
FIA regulations have min/max dimensions for rally cars. Few years back Skoda could not use Fabia in WRC as it was too short. Instead they used Octavia for the first few years at least. Then came 206 WRC with increased bumpers and passed the regs... lol.
The irony of the story was that 206 and fabia were sharing the same wheel-base...

All to do with the country they're rallying in and the rules of the road in said country. When they come to Rally GB in december, you'll see them sporting much larger front plates.I bet they wont get felt up for having that stick-on undersized numberplate!!!

Example:
1997 Monte Carlo
1998 Network Q
(diff years but I'm having a fking hard time finding any real WRC pics and not just model bloody cars!)
They'll have full size UK ones when they're in the UK, or indeed any country that requires them

Number plates fitted after 1st September 2001
Any number plate made up after 1st September 2001 must meet the dimensions as below:
Character Height
79 mm
Character Width (except the figure 1 or letter I)
50 mm
Character stroke
14 mm
Space between characters
11 mm
Space between groups
33 mm
Top, bottom, and side margins (minimum)
11 mm
Space between vertical lines
19 mm
So, as long as the external dimensions are 11mm from the letters/numbers, (legal size & spacing of characters course.) You're legal & will pass the MOT. If the plod don't like it, then you can tell them where to put their notebook & pencil.
