Seconded, and from the lack of care over the advert - a moneypit most likely.

Had the turbo version and really liked it. Even had two girls standing in the back and 'whooping' through the t-top on one trip (just needed the blue jacket, aviators and Genesis on the cassette player and the look would have been complete). Span out wildly on wet roundabouts. Deep bassy exhaust migraine-inducing on long journeys. Engine melted 5 months after purchase due to cooling system failure. Would definitely avoid for this money!

Tuned up to 450bhp these things are savage. Not sure how long they last at that level mind.

One of these out dragged a 350Z on Top Gear once.

Still wouldn't touch it with yours though.

Grammer and spelling not so bad, in fact better than most of the ads. on E-bay
For the record the car looks good value.

Top shedding imo. Can't believe it is a 20 year old car (i must be getting old). It does seem suspiciously cheap but that is the spirit of SOTW.

Dodgy spelling i can tolerate (good job!) but I too don't bother travelling too far if at all if an advert is badly written (text language is a definite no no) or if i don't like the sound of the seller on the phone. I hate it when you view a car and it is dirty too. I make an effort to be polite, punctual and never mess a vendor about so the least they can do is run a hoover round it? Sorry off on one! Top shed.

Amazing shed. TBH with a long MoT (check if any advisories) and new brakes its an excellent buy I think. Its only £999 FFS. Worst case scenario you scrap it for £150. I wouldn't care about anything else on it for this price.

I love these. They looked old fashioned when they came out - I think that was Nissan's way of ensuring a 'timeless design'. I think it worked.... Black. T-tops. There can't be a cheeper way to look like Michael Knight. Awesome.

Scrap it for 150? if it went seriously wrong you could probably break it for parts and make your money back from the parts on ebay. this car sounds a good buy to me

On paper they're fantastic, I think they look great and I love my twin turbo, but.........

......while they go like stink even unmodified, the perpetual onslaught of breakages on a weekly if not daily basis kind'a blights the experience. They're not major things by and large but I'm in it 'fixing' it about as much as I drive it.

Mine now has a suspect HG issue and I've been advised to replace the engine rather than repair it if that's what's actually wrong with it. Also tinkering with anything remotely electrical is a family sized can of worms.

Would I have another one?

YES, but not for shed money.

Good looking car, but if you want a large Jap GT, it's worth saving an extra £1k for the more desireable and reliable NA MKIV Supra.

''We also reckon somebody punctilious enough to bother about a spot of speeling, punctuation and grammar''

Please tell me 'speeling' was deliberate... It was? Am I German? A bit, yeah.

On a more topic related note, I love it. I'd rather have the n/a version I think - less to go wrong. I've often considered these, but it's a bd to get the drum kit in the back. That said, a couple of mates who have had them have suggested you should think more wafty (but cheaper and bumpier) Lexus than razory 'Rari.

Yep, it is a win for me, manages to be slightly esoteric which pleases my delicate sensibilities and also manages to be sufficiently grunty and RWD for the masses biggrin

I think the complicated nature is being overplayed in this case to a certain extent, it is a plain N/A V6, Nissan do engines well and this is one of those that isnt worth tuning, so it has been left alone by the big boost/daft bodykit brigade so I would expect it isnt anywhere near as likjely to go pop in the engine dept or tear itself to bits with 500 bhp, I am thinking Nissan Laurel Coupe here rather than Fast and Furious lairy monster.

I like the idea of 11 Moths but the interior could be a bit chewed if that is the case, I suspect he means Months on the MOT which is good as is new brakes, £100 worth of tax as well which is good.

I reckon with an inspection done properly, if it checks out its a keeper, as long as the suspension isnt knackered, everything works and no serious rust (doesnt look like it, but you never know) it could be ok.

Ok, they are a bit chest wig but I think here it works best without any additional kit, changed lights or big wheels, looks like they did when they were new before they all got ruined by modifiers, who would replace those front lights, they look great !

Ok, its only the N/A one, I kind of like that, fast enough (manual as well, which will help) I would imagine and anyway, you kcould get the included kid to drive with wooden blocks on his feet and call you "Dr Jones".

I like this, anyone had the N/A, I seem to remember they were imports ? also, mpg wise, what we talking, 18/20 ?

I would say this is the best shed proposition so far this year, not as nice as the Jaaag but less chance of being a bottomless moneypit.

Agree with the sentiments but you are effectively saying double the money and get a better car. Not really the point of SOTW!

I really like it. The styling is evidently marmite - but to me it still looks bang up to date. And I like the low, wide, swoopy stance.

I used to really fancy a 300ZX when I was running my 200SX's. Then I met my wife and she explained in very clear tones that the future of fast cars in this particular household would be German. Or words to that effect. :-)

The short wheelbase 300ZXs look really good I reckon. Not sure I'd want to own one long term, but do quite fancy it in principle.

I guess, broadly speaking, it's a competitor to the 944 (in n/a and turbo variants...)
