What has your "friend" been up to?
Discussion
In the dark one night a complete cretin friend of mine drove a hire car over the edge of a 1.5 metre deep hole in the ground, leaving the car resting on its chassis and the front two wheels turning helplessly in space.
The owner of the villa in the grounds of which was the old well (actually the hole left after a giant horse powered millstone was removed) fortunately had a mate who owned a crane, and another who owned the biggest Ford 4x4 my friend had ever seen. Between them they got the Jeep hire car out.
There was no damage.
Later in the holiday my friend got locked in a backstreet garage in Milos and scraped a very old Peugeot on the way out. Cost him 700 Euros on return of the car.
The moral of the story is never assume there won't be a f
