Stunning! I love the 33 Stradale more, but I think they were ultra rare and therefore probably out of my price range...

Money talks (or should it be "sings" in this case"?)

Awkward looking imo, too high. Not cheap either for what you get.

Even as a lad, this was a "second rung" desirable car and my favourite of that era was the SMs kith and kin, the Khamsin:

So much though I loved Alfas this didn't do anything for me.
I'm guessing a Khamsin is a different order of magnitude price-wise to a Montreal, though? You can get a Montreal in the low-teens I think.

Always had a soft spot for the Montreal since, well, the 70's. Got to admit though, I thought they had a US sourced V8, a la Pantera;

Always wanted a Montreal. Odd from some angles, but still plenty of 'want' factor.

Short Drive by, UA based, but catches the engine note !

That video is amazing! I'd really rather the Targa though.

It's been advertised for a while, or the person that bought it last time is selling.

Chris Snowdon Racing built one for racing a while ago. Now in New Zealand , I think:

(look under the race car preparation tab)

There's one racing in Germany, too. This is it on the Dyno: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXFm166ov-E

And some more Montreal pics from the web:

The Montreal seems to have really shot up in value over the last year, a tidy one always used to be around the £10-12k mark going into £20k for perfect.

Shame, as would have one around the 10k mark now.

Khamsin? Well it looks front engined.

The Montreal looks mid engined but has the engine at the front. At least it has that NACA duct in the bonnet.

I used to own one of these beasts! Tbh I was always terrified of its complexity, particularly the spica fuel injection system. The car felt too fast for the chassis at times aswell, but it was based on the 105 bertone guilia.I didn't think that they would be worth this sort of money though ........

My specialist drives one of these, with high lift cams, Ferrari brakes, full race exhaust etc. It makes one of the most spine-tingling noises I've ever heard. The pneumatic lifters for the headlight covers are pure 70s cool.

Not sure what exactly we were meant to be rating ....... I gave a 10 on the assumption that it was the Tipo 33 (pant wettingly fabulous) .... whereas the Montreal would have been an 8.

Still can't really make my mind up about the Montreal .... I'm old enough to remember it the first time around .... and it seemed a bit TOO 70s even then!

Very lovely and very, very cool inside and out!

I've always thought of the Montreal as a bit of a mini-Miura and although this is quite a lot of money for one I'm sure it's time will come.
