The back looks like a nasty Nissan 260Z. Apart from that, its beautiful and the interior is pure class...

A fancy Lancia next please, Monte Carlo?

Wonderful! smile I always look forward to seeing a gaggle of these at good Italian car shows, particularly when a few different colour combinations are there!

Far too expensive, that's been for sale for ages, just trying to cash in on the Yasmin connection - who cares, the car is far more interesting on its own.

I dont like it! And i usually love these type of cars, I just find the stying too fussy, the headlight covers, the bonnet vent etc, all very fussy all the little off details added together spoil the looks IMO...

I Used to work near Where the ASDA Building in Leeds is. Prior to ASDA there were a Load of little shops on the road side opposite the Filling station. Amongest these was a little car dealer who had some drop dead gorgeous cars. Various 70's and 80's Lotus's, Ferrari's etc and High end Vauxhall and Ford Saloons and coupe's. One day an Alfa Montreal turned up. I think even then the money wanted for it was such that even I started looking at my piggy bank. £2500 seems to be what I remember but I could be wrong!!!

Probably one of the best, and they're on pretty good form this year.

  • eta* - wonder what would be more expensive to run, Yasmin or the Montreal?

I liked these when I was a kid. Now, the Montreal wouldn't get into my top twenty classics.

Always had a soft spot for the Montreal since, well, the 70's. Got to admit though, I thought they had a US sourced V8, a la Pantera;

For anyone who thinks that these sorts of cars cannot be reliable.... We know a guy called "Belgian Eric", who is in fact, a Belgian. He has an Alfa repair business and the most amazing "graveyard" of classic Alfas and the like in erm, Belguim. We know him from doing the Laon Historique rally in France. He took part once in his Alfa Montreal, a pretty well used one which the nutter uses as his daily driver! It has recorded over 250,000 MILES on its original engine which he says has never been rebuilt, only had a few clutches over the decades. He swears by a good one, and they can be made very reliable if you know how to fettle them properly. Lovely cars.

Lovely looking car, did not know there was a proper RHD version

Is it more than a 105 with a different body and engine? not that there is anything wrong with the 105 handling wise, but it is a little long in the tooth now and not really a throw around corners sort of a girl

Might prefer a GTAm replica

Hi everyone, i've joined the forum purely based on this ad about this Alfa....because interestingly enough...

Yasmin Lebon is my Auntie lol, and i remember there Alfa!!

But what i also remember and just got reminded of on the phone by my uncle Simon Lebon just minutes ago was...that he wrote that car off!!!!

Sooo....on the ad saying its had no major work...this is 100% rubbish. Unless it isnt there old car and is cloned!!...If it is there car...its had substantial work done as my uncle wrote it off in a multi story car park!! LOL...dont ask!.

So please beware something fishy is going on with this car!

Take Care
Dan.

Please please tell me now that even Uncle Simon can spell better than this, surely? It's "their Alfa" but please, don't say a prayer for me now.

Oh yes, I'm loving the Montreal. It would scare the life out of me if anything went wrong, mind... but those headlights would be worth the worry, and who doesn't love a NACA duct? I've been keeping an eye out for them in the classifieds for a couple of years, on the basis that there must be room in my life for a cool-as-fook 1970s coupe. Articles like this only stoke the fires of demand, which make it even less likely that I'll find one that's escaped attention wink

All that said, if you were in the market for a 70s v8 coupe, the Lamborghini Espada can be had from low £30ks (and will properly ruin you if it goes wrong) and the Maserati Ghibli's not a lot more - and I mean, just look at it - http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C215991
