ejenner said: Just bought this for the winter Can't complain for 200 squids. It has tax until Feb, was recently serviced and has covered a total of 62,000 miles. It will need an MOT though and I am going to buy some winter tyres so that's going to put costs up a bit. Now mine! Good to meet you mate

Just bought this 318i Touring, MoT'd November, for 370 quid. Previous owner told me she is called Doris. Bit shabby, slightly wayward handling (possibly borked trailing arm bushes) and not very quick, but a nice comfy relaxing old thing to drive. Doris and I are in love.

I can't resist a cheap Alfa, and temptation has got the better of me, and I've just picked up an 04 plate 156 2.0 JTS as a cheap runaround for a bit. Very long MOT and loads of history. Needs a clean inside, couple of scrapes on the body and the MIL is on, but it seems to drive ok apart from that. Comfortably qualifies for the thread, so pics will follow in due course!

Has this thread died a bit? Can't really think where else to show off my purchase! I have to sneak it in as I did pay just over a grand, but it's intended to be a workhorse and second car. I drove the 2 hours home last night in pouring, horrible rain and it was so full of character that I named it an hour in (Alfie ) and am hopelessly in love with it, quirks and all! It's had lots of recent work (inc cambelt, clutch and service) plus a fresh MOT. I was really looking for an ultra cheap, more roomy, super reliable estate. But...but... it's an Alfa! And it's a 2.4JTD which is more refined than I thought and plenty torquey. Pictured alonsgide my daily drive, am bloody happy with it!
