The Registration on the F400 (LNT 3) used to be on my Dad's old LE Velocette, which he gave away to the LE Velocette owners club when he became ill 20 odd years ago. I guess I'll never trace his bike now!

is the one of them no the same as the car arash farboud was building a few years ago ?
Yes, with not much visible changes from what I saw of it, apart from a jump in price it seems.

This is what I like about Ginetta. They make a little bit of noise about making road cars, but don't go balls out to do so in a rush!

They've kept their eye on their primary business which is motorsport and track cars and inch slowly towards more road modern, road going toys, but don't rush head long into it only to fall on their arse!

Hopefully both cars are a hit and LNT enjoys a long and prosperous future

The G40R looks very interesting indeed. thumbup A slightly more sensible car than a Caterham without losing the raw, track-focused appeal.

The F400 I'm less bothered about as I'll never be able to afford one. Hopefully both will do well for Ginetta though.

scratchchin I want a G40R. I really really do. But I don't have 30k for a car right now.

Is it wrong to harvest the organs of the local street walkers (literally killing 2 birds with one stone), in order to raise the capital?

The G40R will be available sub £30k OTR which makes this amazing little car a very competitive machine. (I was the lucky passenger form Leeds to Le Mans and back again so can personally vouch for its fun factor, it's addictive!)

What do you think of our little car park...? smile

Thats not fair! When I went past the Maclaren and the F40 were there but not the Ginetta!

I saw the white one in Wetherby. Looked great, if I had £30K spare I'd have one without a second thought. So reminds me of the ethos of the TVR M series.
All that is immaterial though, as it relies on people who who DO have £30K spare actually wanting to buy one.

Think that one belongs to some kid called Moore. He used to race the G40 then the G55 and now he works for Ginetta (he is only 19 or something like that). He is, by all accounts, the next Lewis hamilton.

Can't help thinking it looks a bit "generic" and parts-bin. I'm sure most of it is bespoke, but those taillights look very similar to those on the Tesla. scratchchin
Sorry, but rubbish.

No-one else has used that side scoop treatment for a start. And this car pre-dates the Tesla in both design and production...
I know it differs in the details, but somehow it still comes off as slightly generic overall. Not overtly different than the new McLaren or that new Noble. Not a rip-off by any account, but just doesn't strike me as unique. Something like the Sagaris was a sports car that was very individual; nothing else was quite like it. You knew it was a TVR. If this didn't have Ginetta badging, would you know it was a Ginetta? Probably not, because it was developed by another company and simply badged as a Ginetta in its most recent incarnation. All IMHO, of course.

Again, I'm not knocking the company, I really like the fact that there's still a British sports car company that builds cars to the tradition of being nimble and lightweight. I'm just saying that the G40R seems more like a Ginetta than this does.
