Did you have two cars to shoot? smile The interior shots show the carbon seats and the exterior shots the normal seats wink
We got to Cholmondeley and bumped into another guy from Bentley who was in a white SS with the lightweight 2 seater interior, so I chucked a couple of shots in the mix. The Ed will have probably chosen them to show the difference in the options. The guys at the factory were singing the praises of the "race" seats as being very adjustable and therefore comfy for long distance, though I understand lots are specced with the comfort option.

Apparently the carbon tube is a safety requirement rather than anything structural, it is there to prevent any stowed luggage from sliding forward into the seats.

I recently had a factory visit to Bentley Motors in Crewe, and the GT is beautifully made.
However, sitting outside a cafe on the main street in Alderley Edge admiring the bums of the botoxed women, in 10 minutes I saw 5 Continental GTs but only 2 Astons.
North Cheshire has voted with its overstuffed wallet.

They are actually good fun to drive, properly fast and very capable. The "Super Sport" name comes from a sporting 1920's model.

Bentley is not about being lightweight.

I've never been entirely convinced by the Continental. It's always struck me as a "look-at-my-Bentley" kind of toy for newly wealthy former Soviets, whose tastes haven't quite developed up to a level where they would consider the purchase of an Arnage. It would have been better-suited to life as a four-seater TVR.

However for some unknown reason, this particular variant makes perfect sense scratchchin. Another one for the imaginary shopping list!

I regularly drive top notch cars and have to say this to my mind it the total package. Space pace and grace.
Although I like astons the 1st model 550bhp would eat Astons.
But hey why are we arguing. It's like marmite. you love it or you hate it.

A magnificent beast ! If he were alive, Brunel would drive one. That the car may or may not attractive to people who may want he car for different reasons, or have them in colours that lack taste, is not relevant.

the shattering amount of torque on tap seems utterly contemptuous of the car's weight and it feels like it could still do 0-100 in less than nine seconds whilst towing a caravan.

I Sense A Topgear style challenge here
"what will a Bentley Supersport outdrag..... while towing a caravan!?

Tested a continental gt v8 at millbrook and foolishly bentley had a supersports there too. The supersports is an unbelievable car for it's weight. Incredible acceleration, superb brakes great suspension and steering accurate. Can't think of many 4 seaters with Porsche/Ferrari like performance. As a family the v8 is mum the w12 dad and the supersports the rebel with a cause!

I've even spoken to an Enzo owner who says his SS feels as quick and drives similarly to his Ferrari - not bad considering the comparison.
I've always liked the idea of the Supersports, but this is a stretching credibility a bit I think. A huge sports GT, with 4WD and a front mounted turbocharged engine driving similarly to a lightweight, naturally aspirated RWD with a mid-rear mounted engine? I think not! I accept they are both fast cars, but but as steak and pizza are both great foods, they are hardly "similar" to each other.

It has 40bhp more than my Aston, but weighs an extra half tonne. I don't think so.

YOU need to have a supersports in your garage to know what they are about, they stand head and shoulders above any aston i should know have owned them all, its in a different league, out looks out drives out gives you that ace feeling when you drive it, the only car i think could out trump it would be maybe an updated SS,
let the fun begin, you need an SC for summer days as well, smile
