Well, why not? Given the plethora of "best whatever" threads, surely we need an opportunity for PHers to show their superior judgment by reference to their cupholders (the answer to all "best" threads on any subject always being "the one I bought").

The cupholder in my cars is blonde and works in television.

It's deadly serious! What could be more important in a car? OK, choice of novelty air freshener is more important, but only just.

I'm glad I checked your profile before replying - 'thought you might be a Mach One Mustang owner with a penchant for fitting late model plastic tat options. Glad to see that this doesn't appear to be the case, keep the blonde cup holder - much preferable to these modern vulgar plastic thingies - although I must admit that a couple of the blondes I've known have been vulgar plastic thingies. Nice collection of cars by the way.

The ones in my Elise are best... in that they don't exist.

Get yourself a blonde, then. NB, the golden rule of the three Fs may apply.

The Volvo S60 must surely come top here. It's an aesthetically pleasing design (much like Saab use with their flip out ietm) but much less likely to break. It's also positioned high in the centre console to make reaching your drink easier. So it's good on form and function, though I've only used it once.

Sat in a SAAB 9-5 (I think) years ago at a motor show, I played with the front cupholder for about 15 mins, flips out, spins around and unfolds - amazing novelty value, no idea if it actually holds a cup however...smile

Phew thanks for getting the thread back on track. Personally, I prefer Romanian teenage gymnasts, but that just shows my age.

My 2002 Laguna DCi has an awsome one - Like the Saab one it comes out and flips round and is located nice and high (Next to the radio) o within easy reach.

Romanian, Czech, I'm not fussy as long as they're leggy, barely legal, can't speak English, are impressed with my slighty crap wheels and can hold a gin and tonic between their legs whilst I drive to the nearest Travelodge whilst pretending to be the Duke of Rutland.
The least the dozy bint could do is chop out a fat line or two whilst I dodge the traffic and catch up with facebook.

The cup holders in the E90 are pretty poor as well. You probably can't even fit a maccy d's cup in them. Still the ones in the LCI are better than the pre LCI.

I think BMW struggle when it comes to cup holders biggrin

I have to agree with the czech gymnast thigh cup holder. My car has four of them.

Really though I have an E39 BMW 5 series with 4 cupholders. I unscrewed the front two and fked them out a window because they were fking me off so much by being cheap badly designed pieces of crap!
