LMFAO @ crack rocks in a South London primary school yard.

You still have rear seats in a coupe ...
I prefer the saloon, far more masculine ... I find the coupe's rear end lacking in aggression.
BMW could have produced another 'CSL' type model but decided not to ... I guess the economics didn't stack up for them to do it. I still say had they launched a £75k - £80k M3 in this vein, they would have sold like crack rocks in a South London primary school yard.

CRT = Cashing in on Racing Terminology
This is worse than the usual Porsche special editions - you know 10 whole kilos and 10 whole hp, +£15k...whoo hoo!
Seriously, for that little effort, why bother? Oh, I see - an extra £60k for £8k worth of upgrade. BMW - the Ultimate Marketing Machine (and that's from a long time BM owner).

I often wonder with these limited runs, if they made them simply to order at the same price would they sell as many as the "limited run numbers" which guarentees exclusivity and investment potential?
Good point. If they weren't released as a 'limited edition' I bet they'd only sell a handful, however say 'We're only making 50' they'll sell like hot cakes. I like it in the blue...
But I'd rather take a standard M3 and put the gubbins on myself.
If people spend £115,000 on this for some pretty CF and 50kg, then they deserve to have BMW take their money from them and laugh them out the showroom. Mongs.
I can imagine the owners now; "I only put in £10 petrol because it makes it lighter and faster"
Correct, but then again you could have spent £115,000 on a standard M3 and made it into a monster with 100kg+.
I mean lets face it, the heaviest thing about a car is usually the driver.. cut down on pies (I know, a shocking thought), beer (argh!) and crack out a massive st and you're on your way there...

So they have shed 50kg, raised the speed limiter and added some carbon bits for £115k! They are surely having a laugh?!?!
No doubt it will be a good drive, but there is no way to possibly justify that premium. IMO, it doesn't even look special enough for the exclusivity factor to carry that sort of price.
