Normaly a limited eddition is done when the type is to be discontinued or the company is about to go bust.

As you were then.

The Cygnet is getting some good reviews, actually.
But then its not really anything over the standard Toyota, which is a good little town car.

Paying another £17k for the bonus of a bespoke leather interior, "Aston Martin" paint and a new grille seems a little, er, steep?

I can actually understand the idea here but there's one thing which grates...

The bonnet vents - they're a comedy add-on, a chav feature - they're fking awful on a Vantage V12, let alone this...

I have a free tip for AM tho - put the price up and use the money to convince Toyota to stop selling the iQ in Europe smile

You say that. But deep down you know your significant others are down the shops right now looking for some.

Now, I'm no fashionista so maybe I just don't "get it", but that's probably the worst thing I've ever seen!

Throw-pillows are about the least Aston-ish thing I can think of. Just so wrong.. on sooo many levels.

And the price? Just get a DB7!

Also don't think I'd like to be surrounded by "essence of chocolate lab". hehe

Oh, and where'd the bloody PH-O-Meter go?! I wanted to give it a zero.

Nevermind, it wasn't on the main article but is in it at the top of the thread. How has it gotten above a 1?!

The scatter cushions are bloody excellent.

Mark my words, by next year we'll be seeing "female-oriented" special editions of "chic" cars that don't just feature scatter cushions, but a "runner" across the whole rear bench and 6 varyingly patterned square cushions in a horizontal stack on each seat, which the owner's husband will be expected to move before she drives it and replace afterward.

Artists impression

I'm not going to rate it so don't worry, but I don't get the vitriol?

The throw pillows are cute in the same way that the VW Bug's flower vase is. Not my thing, but at least it's somewhat clever.

The whole Cygnet concept makes me cringe. Its all that is wrong in the consumer world. Branding before design.

And to think in another thread this morning I was listening to various people bleating about the 1 series M coupe being expensive at £40k. Suddenly it seems like a very sensible purchase indeed.

If Aston sell this re-branded nonsense, I suspect they could actually get a turd, polish it, brand it Aston and some vain pretentious oink somewhere will buy it and put it on their mantel.
