Buy a cheap run around car for doing the shopping And other nonsense so u don't care when it gets sings, scrapes and scuffs. And don't take your nice car to tescos anymore problem solved.
I hate this argument. So when can you drive your nice car, when you're not going anywhere?!Zod said:
Just noticed yesterday evening that at some point yesterday some fker swiped the front nearside of my car while ti was parked. The paint left is green. The wheel arch is cracked in two spots, so it was hit quite hard. No note of course. With paint blending, this is going to be a several thousand quid insurance claim.
And it will never be the same again!Granfondo said:

The other problem is the 'not wanting to get involved' how much paper work will you have to fill in and be registered on some data base somewhere and the endless phone calls
The other day a not so old dear reverses gently out of her parking spot into the side of car, you know car parks where they have a row of cars at the edges that are parallel parked to the kerb.
There must have been hundreds of people who saw it, well maybe 5 -10
It was only the pop of the door panel that made me look up and walk over. She said it had felt squishy at first then there was this bang.
Well it would do
Metal flexes a bit then loses it's shape with a bang.
She looked surprised at this rare Nosy person and 'decided' to write a note to put under the windscreen.
Despite the car park being full everyone else conveniently looked the other way afterwards as if 'not by business'.
What would you do?
