From Essex to Newcastle, I think it was around 320 miles or so in the end, but I did stop for food..... And that was in a TVR 350...

About 490 miles with no stops whatsoever in a van. In fact, I ended up doing about 980 miles during that 24 hour period (drove from Glasgow to Canterbury and back in one day/night, about 16 hours on the road in total).

Personally I think the most I have done is about 250 and that was only for a holiday destination.
250 miles isn't very far. Any London-based Scottish
persons will have gone quite a bit further than
that whenever they drive back to their tribal homelands.

I've done 600 miles in one day on a few occasions.
+1 497 miles from northampton to aberarder (near inverness)

In one hit without stopping I have managed 450 miles before needing to refuel.

In one hit with no sleeping (but food, pee and ferry stops essential) I have driven from Hartlepool to L'orient in Brittany and back in under 48 hours.

300 miles, Wolverhampton to Stirling. I wouldn't want to do much more than that without a rest or a car with cruise control and auto box.

830 miles from Mansfield to Berlin en route to Wroclaw, Poland. I was going to see if it's possible in one, but common sense (and tiredness) took over and I thought it best to find a hotel. It was in a Merc Sprinter and whilst on the autobahn I discovered that they're limited to 160kph.

1200 miles. Morpeth to Antibes on a 350 YPVS September 1989.
Impressive - I'd be needing pharmaceutical assistance for that
I've never felt the need to repeat it on a bike again. I was back there in 2002 but stopped in Northern France on the way there and back.

Slightly off topic but I once saw an Aston Martin (DB9 I think) on display at the Festival of Speed that had done 1000 miles a day for 10 days straight. Pretty good going! biggrin

Ooops damn iPhone and Pistonheads mobile kept crashing and I thought I hadn't posted this already. biggrin

I delivered a car from Luton to Inverness and had the pleasure of a return journey in a Metro diesel! 1100 miles. Not something I'd have the patience to do now.

Mine was the reverse of this. Dropped my mate at SFO at 10:00 on Monday. Arrived in Breckenrige, CO at 09:00 the next morning. Spent 24hrs packing my worldly belongings into the back of my '95 Ford Contour (aka Mondeo), and then did Breckenridge to Baltimore (@1800 miles), stopping only for food, fuel and short naps, arriving mid-afternoon on the Friday.

Two days later, one of my front tires blew out at 75mph. Fortunately I managed to control the car and stop safely, but visions of that happening with a fully loaded vehicle in East Bumfk Ohio tortured me for a long time afterwards.

Not as many as some. But I once drove to Zwolle in the Netherlands and back in one day. I had the cruise set at 100mph in the 9000 Aero. I can't say it was a total breeze but I'm glad I did it in that car and not anything less comfortable.

The distance is 724 miles. I went to go and collect a couple of Saab gearboxes.

Also drove my Saab 99 to Sweden over the course of two days. We started in London at silly-AM and drove up to the border between Germany and Denmark in the first leg. I remember that because we were getting a bit lost and crossed the border twice in the space of about 3 minutes so then obviously we were stopped and asked to show all our documents. Then trying to find a hotel in Denmark at silly-o'clock pm was impossible so we had to sleep in our cars.

824 miles from Amalfi in Southern Italy to Macon in France on a motorbike. When I woke up the next morning my neck felt like it was made of concrete.
