Yep, the economy was shocking.I went to the GP at silverstone several years ago and the batmobile from the val kilmer films did a lap and that one was also powered by a V8. The sound of the V8 didn't really match the look of the car 
That Batnmobile is not a cool looking as the turbine one and bother better IMO than the current tumbler!

That is v cool. I love the stretched Diablo in Team America too (I know it was just a model before anyone starts having a hissy fit). This Batmobile is just a couple of steps away from perfection (the wheels need looking at and surely the windscreen should be electric), damn fine effort though.

Would love to see the look on peoples faces if you drove that through a major city, late at night with abit of afterburner-esque flame licking out the tailpipe :-)
