It shows a picture of a focus RS plaque as 1 out of 500 wheras its actually 1 of 100. I noticed this when we had a pre facelift ST500 in at work that also had a 1/500 plaque, we couldnt believe it until we found out.

Jonny
The RS models are all numbered, the ST models are all numbered 1 of 500. Great collection though still prefer the Ford Heritage collection, I know its owned by Ford as so its a bit different but at least they use the cars as there meant to be used ..... driven hard and fast !

Stunning collection and hats off to the chap. Fortunately these cars were made in such numbers that the fact these particular examples don't get driven is irrevelavant as if you want to drive an example of any of these it's just a trip to the classifieds away.

The fact that so many RS's have been molested by jo public it's nice to know there's some mint standard examples tucked away for future generations.

Would love to know why the RS200 got sold as it kind of goes against the text in this feature. Would also be nice to know what happened to the 2 E30 M3 Evo's and the Merc DTM that all got bought together.

Amazing. I love seeing things like this; the guy is clearly obsessive, and so he should be with such a marvellous collection of cars.

I love this collection. Having grown up around RS2000s and then having mates with Cosworths and RS Turbos, this really floats my boat! But I agree woth some posts, they should be driven, not to the ragged edge but at least a few hours a week - maybe charge for Jo Public to have a go and give the money to charity? I would definately sign up :-)

He did let Jason Plato drive his black 3-door for Fifth Gear feature against the Merc 190E 2.5-16. I think that counts smile

How very sad. To imprision such beautiful beasts in an artificial zoo, where they can't experience the thrill of the open countryside. Sad.

Absolutely correct. The RS500s have individual numbers up to 500, this being genuine #1. The Focus and Fiesta ST500s all had '1 of 500' plaques.

Was that the E30 M3 that was up for £80k? Am I going daft thinking there were 2 x very low mileage exaples up for £80k each?...

Yep, he bought two delivery mileage Sport Evos for 80k (reputedly) and then sold one for 80k. So it seems he has a delivery mileage Sport Evo for free (I guess).

What a collection! Be nice to see them in the flesh?

Shrewd move, I applaud him for his forecasting skills on E30 M3 values!
