Awsome collection, still in love with the Escort Cossie. If any of you are welsh you may know the owner of the collection is also the owner of Trade Center Wales... and as far as i know this collection is availible to the public eye at his car showroom/warehouse in Glyneath. There was a white Lambo Gallardo spyder also in the bonkers room recently.

He also has a white Benz SLS amongst other things... i take my hat off to the guy!!

Hi peeps .... I know the owner of this collection, and can vouch for most of them being driven .. and driven how they were intended ..some dont get driven, such as Diana's car whic is understandable ...not the most valuable car in the world, but how would you replace it ??? .. but most get shown a good blast every now and then.

Heres Plato going for it in the 3dr.... on original rare as Dunlop D40's ... suprised he made it round in one piece lol

.. if you go on the RSOC forum, and search for the Bonkers Collection, you can see a few more of the collection

I wonder what the Diana Turbo would fetch in America? £500,000, maybe more?

I do admire this collection. At the end of the day, the cars have gone this far with collecting only minimal miles, so in my view it would be a shame to ruin that now. I do love a good RS biggrin

Probably more. Wait until Kate has a few kids of her own...the Princess Diana/Kate paradigm will be at its most absurd level.

The E30Zoners DID believe him....after he provided photographic evidence of his collection and the actual cars. Fair enough considering how many bullshi**ers there are out there.

Also some ridiculously handsome idiot started causing trouble regarding the whole thing and got himself banned from 'the zone'.bandit

Pfft.

Mister Bonkers Sir, will any of your collection be on display this summer? l wanna come looksy boyo!

How do you make the collection pay for itself? Seems a wierd economic bent is at hand here. Nice collection non the less!

Shrewd move, I applaud him for his forecasting skills on E30 M3 values!
Not really, think he only bought them a couple of years back anyway

I must say that I agree with this sentiment too. I'm interested to know what sets the Escort Cosworths apart from others? If anything?
Don't think it's much, apart from the dark one being a Monte

My Dad used to have a white Escort RS Turbo just like that one in the pictures.

Got my first speeding offence in it.... well, He did, I was but a baby in a chair on the back seat!!!

Yep, my mum wasnt too happy about that and the RS was soon gone frown
If my wife ever told me to get rid of a car like that, she'd be the one packing her bags.

How very sad. To imprision such beautiful beasts in an artificial zoo, where they can't experience the thrill of the open countryside. Sad.
Unfortunatly the Gorilla's either mod them or smash them up.

I love old fast Fords. Great collection - but I bet he can't afford any Mk1 Escorts. Prices are eek

I think the gent in question could afford any car he liked i think it would be a matter of time before you see a mint mk1 rs in his collection i think its just simply a case of getting the car sourced (the best possible one and then making the owner an offer he or she cannot refuse. His collection contains the finest examples not normal run of the mill examples.

I'd be confident to say at auction that would easily fetch north of 500k! Without hesitation!

if it ever comes up for sale i would doubt it would make this sum there has been many debates on various rs forums about this very subject.Yes a rare car indeed but does that mean her green metro or green range rover or xjs would be worth that much.Just because you have a label on something does not mean its worth more.

Super collection. Better not tell him about the Escort Cosworth with the Scorpio (Cosworth) V6 engine that I once spotted in the Dunton workshop, or the 2, yes 2, door Saphire body shell residing in the West Hanger on Boreham Airfield, ( the original home for the Ford rally cars ). Oh, nearly forgot, the other occupants of that hanger was about 20 or so RS200's, plus spare chassis, body shells, crates of engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension bits and pieces !!
