Absoultely stunning. Bet it gets some attention on the streets of Blighty no?
The wheels, they are just soo right for this car. I didn't realise they were up to 7.0 twin supercharged....they do seem like quite a bargain!

I wanted the panther 6 that came up recently. 6 wheels, 8.2 litre twin turbos.

Sold for £36,500.

Ew, not sure that has aged well (unlike your 928...still a great looking beast!)

The door to the dyno room at Leatherhead was normal width, but part of the wall had been knocked out to create a removable section to allow the V12's fitted with twin superchargers to get in and out

One of my clients had one of these back when they were new. Took me for a spin in it, accelleration was incredible and I dont think I have been in anything that feels quicker since.

If it were from the animal world, it would be a warthog with the heart, lungs and muscle structure of a cheetah. Or a great white shark (minus the lungs, of course!)

XJS are lovely cars and really reasonably priced and probably one of the most afforadable ways to get into the v-12 club

People straight away think a V12 is going to be expensive to run. Against a 3.6 doing about 1500 miles atear it will cost about £3 a week more to run on fuel.See I have convinced myself.
Seriously as a weekend car to have some fun in its got to be the 6.0l V12. As a daily car buy something else.
The Black lister is just stunning.

1020 is probably the best I have seen, the V12 was only bored out to 6.0 litre to overcome the inefficiencies caused by exhaust system change to cats re emmission controls, the earlier 5.3 breathe easier without the power sap of cats, plus end power is almost identical and you can tune a 5.3 to greater power, just my views of course.

Things haven't changed at all you often see some special metal in Guildford on North street.
Thats quite an understatement, often see Lambos, Maseratis etc but quite often some rare treats too. This is of course offset by the horrific bearded lady you often see in the same area (i kid you not)...
ah, the bearded lady. Have you seen her facebook page??
She used to shop in M+S in the nineties!
I have seen Nick Mason a few times in his F40, Chris Evans in one of his white Fezzas and remember seeing a Diablo GTR going sideways off the lights next to The Friary. It's mostly modded Puntos and C2's though!

That has real menace! Love it!

Just got my first Jag this week and the XJS was on my wish list, but in the end the supercharged S-Type R was my choice.

Just had it serviced by my local Jag Specialist and although he is now a one man operation, he used to work at Lister building the cars!
With that experience behind him I'm very happy he is looking after my Jag.

About time Top Gear did a section on companies who modified cars in the past.
Lister Vs JWR XJS anyone? smile
