Don't get me wrong- I'm not saying it's the second coming of the Pug 205 GTi.
But "second worst car ever" sounds like a comment from the the Comic Book Guy in the Simpsons- it's lazy and exaggerates how bad it is. There are plenty of worse cars.
i agree the engine does sound good but more like a gt small car..But "second worst car ever" sounds like a comment from the the Comic Book Guy in the Simpsons- it's lazy and exaggerates how bad it is. There are plenty of worse cars.

I miss my old ZX Volcane
me too - and incredibly reliable, before the French-car haters start.Never drove an Uno turbo, but a mate had a basic Uno and while it certainly went well I could never get on with the pedal positioning.

I was going to post about my old MG Metro Turbo, but they weren't all that rare. Or unusual.
They are very rare indeed these days. I believe the number of Mk1 Turbos remaining registered is in single digits, and there's only 45 left in total according to How Many Left. This is my suggestion:
I know it has the dreaded Griffin on the badge, but it really was a good car. Quick enough to embarrass RS Turbos (at least standard ones) but would return 40mpg easily on a run, and had a huge boot. On the downside, handling and rust proofing weren't exactly state of the art.
