looks nice, do you mind me asking where you get the plates made up? cheers
slightly OT again..
I hear the DVLA have relaxed the spacing rules now? My wife got pulled by a bored police man for having a space in the incorrect place. Can we have a plate with no spaces?
As above, slightly confused by Garlik's post on the now closed "Spotted! Real Rubbish Chav Number Plates" thread.

Nothing has changed recently about the spacing of number plates.
Rules still apply despite the comment made in the Sunday Times earlier in the year.

Thats not true at all - your plates do need to be properly secured but they don't need to be done so using a wrongly coloured stud. You would have absolutely no argument on that front as they will simply say you should have used a yellow stud, not a black one.

Nothing special: A12 BCD format - just want to have no space

The consultation was supposed to have happened by now - can't find any updates on it though.

It seems that the only source for these rumours was these hallowed pages themselves, I would think that the RegTransfers site would be splattered with this news when and if the rules are relaxed. My personal opinion.. spacing is a slim maybe, the screws issue, no chance. Any changes that come in will be compatible with existing ANPR systems. Personally I wouldn't hold my breath on this one.

I pasted a copy of correspondence I'd had with DfT where they had confirmed that they were running a consultation with relevant stakeholders regards spacing. It's not PH rumour, it's a fact.
