Saw this in Bristol yesterday. Owner was nowhere near so pretty risky leaving the roof down. Had about 10 riot police nearby keeping an eye on it. Uploaded with ImageShack.usAlso the inside was littered with general junk and about 50 CDs. Saw it later getting caught up in the EDL protests.

When I was young (about 14), I had a Saturday job at the local Ford dealer. Every other week or so a local chap would drop by and ask for a proper wheel clean on his E30 M3. It was Macau blue with cream leather and I always loved it and would watch the wheels being cleaned by the valeter just because I loved the car so much.
Happy days.

Technically this is a bit of a cheat as I was at the Aston Martin factory and there was a line of new Vanquish outside but standing out from the usual dark hues I couldn't pass this one by:- Yes there were a few One-77 parked up but that's the one that caught my eye.

I have two Aston Martins and two other cars that I need help with. I have researched the answer I got for the 2nd Aston ( Vantage ) on wikipedia this car looks more like the first Aston, so I am totally Confused now. The Rolls Royce ( Silver Spur III ) when I did a check on the number plate it said it was made in 1996 but according to wikipedia they was only made between 1993–1994 so this would make it a Sliver Spur IV but I am not so sure on this. Also is the merc a Hamann Tuned G Wagon? Aston Martin 1 Aston Martin 1 ?? by michaelbham243, on Flickr Aston Martin 2 Aston Martin 2 ?? by michaelbham243, on Flickr I Know this is a Mercedes Hamann but what model? Hamann Mercedes ? by michaelbham243, on Flickr Finally what Rolls Royce is this? Rolls Royce ?? by michaelbham243, on Flickr

Vantage was a name frequently used by Aston Martin to denote the faster version of one of their models. The first was the DB2 Vantage. This naming convention was used on several models of Aston up until the Virage when the Vantage was altered sufficiently to be considered a different model. From then on, I believe I'm right in saying, the Vantage has been a model in its own right, not the go-faster version of another model. If you're not careful, Michael, we're going to have whip round to buy you the Observers Book of Cars. I bet that Roller had its name on the boot lid.

Aston 2 is both a supercar and rare - a Vantage but one of the very last before the Le Mans. Possibly a cancelled order.

A later car with head-rests (so not early), wing mirrors attached to the A pillar (later), can't see the headlights but will be round not square, has a different exhaust and four centre dials not three (plus the alarm is different, blue-capped windscreen washer bottle, but the biggest give-away is the DVLA website that says it was first registered in 2000 and that is after the production of the Le Mans.

Thanks for all the help. Only got the Hamann Merc left, I think its a G Wagon but I aint sure It was nice to see about the Vantage could of been a cancelled order and that it could be one of the last made. This is the kind of information that is fascinating. Many Thanks Michael
