There was some skepticism when I posted those photos on the Evo Magazine forum at the time as well. I don't really know enough bout these cars to comment myself, but IIRC people said Evo1s have more square wing mirrors, however this one does have the more rounded wheel arches of EVOs which would seem like quite a minor detail if someone was just putting bolt ons on a regular 190. I think one of the Evo members also did a reg check which didn't pick up on it being an Evo. So quite probably a very good replica, or maybe a real one.

They all have the same asymmetric mirrors.

Here are pictures of a real Evo 1.
http://www.gun-auto-trade.jp/zaikosyaryou/130%202....

Apart from the little extra splitter and the wheels, it looks pretty identical.

The reg check comes up as "MERCEDES-BENZ190 E 2.5-16". I'm unsure whether Evo would or should be mentioned in that info anyway.

Ideal spec for an FF that, hides all the ugly features and actually looks quite smart.

I saw this getting washed today. Is it tuned by anyone? The vents on the sides seemed unusual.

That's just a 930 Turbo LE (Limited Edition).

Those vents are standard.

Interesting - it had 'Carrera' across the back. From a bit of research it appears it is a 'Supersport'. Does that mean it has Turbo LE parts added after?

Incase you don't sense it, I am not the best at older Porsches wink

Apologies for the crap photo. I missed the post office this morning so I decided to try and catch a glimpse of a Noble at their place in Leicester and then I saw this! Never heard of it before, I bring you the Benarrow...
Ah! I saw this about a year ago in Leicester and started a "What did I see?" thread which identified it as this. It looks quite well in the flesh - wasn't it a car developed with students at the University of Warwick?
Reg check shows it is a 2009 Audi S5....

Reg check shows it as a 1987 CARRERA CABRIO SUPER SPT (Engine size 3164cc)
Think the LE was only available from March 1989 and had a 3299cc engine.

They look like fairly standard Morgan wheels to me!

But I don't know for sure.

They didn't do the LE in Convertible.! The LE's were the last 50 coupe's built in 1989, The Factory turbo convertibles with the rear vent's in were SE flat nose which were earlier 1985 models....! So that one must be a Super Sport Cab with added rear vent's.......! Sorry......!

They are, but re-branded for Morgan IIRC.

No photo as driving but followed a new MG supermini in Longbridge today on a '12 plate. Looked like a dogs dinner of Fiesta, Mazda 2 and Swift combined. Plenty of plastic too for good measure.

The kit is probably a replica created with the original moulds, which where released a few years ago because 25 years after production Mercedes released the moulds.
there's a big difference between a real EVO and a 2,5/2,3 16v, totally different car actually, so I doubt the car is a real EVO.
And I think w201 AMG's are rarer then W201 EVO's, but EVO's are more desirable
