For those that get it BBC1 look North 6:30pm today are doing a feature on it.

close up vid of it here. looks great to me slap air con and a radio in it and I would be happy to have that as an only car and dare say I would prefer it to any hot hatch.

You would have to be on crack to choose that zolfe thing over the ginetta. The ginetta is alot better looking
Well since I'm not blind I can actually see what both cars look like... it wouldn't take a comparison test for me to see which looks nicer. I'm a bit more interested in seeing how they compare dynamically.

What's the mileage like?whistle

Would the G40 be suitable for rallying, assuming the suspension etc is tweeked for purpose? I'm thinking that the G40 could be competitive with the Darrian or Escort. Or is that market too small?

Erm actually - is that a finished car? The finish of the panels on that is...not good!

Probably too small. Nice idea though! I'd love to see them going head to head with a Darrian!

God, I want one so much it aches.

Would they let me have one with no deposit and repayments of #100 per month do you think? cool

They appear to be attached. That's about all it needs as far as I'm concerned. evil

Thank god for Ginetta, and the fact that there is still someone out there making proper cars.

Glad they have stuck to their ethos and historical references as well. I can recognise styling cues - and even the overall concept - from my G15. Will it be sold in Australia? because i'd be seriously tempted to upgrade...

As the owner of a 2 litre Duratec powered MX5 who is completely unfamiliar with the tuning options/prices available for this Ford unit, could anyone enlighten me as I'm very interested!

Is tuning widely available? What kind of options/costs/power increases are we looking at? What about reliability?

TIA for any info! smile

In this age of bloated weight counteracted by huge power, this is a refreshing change for a road car.
Not only that, a road car with a roof, and doors, and windows and other luxury items!!!

I'd go for the supercharger kit:

Really interested to see some more pics of the interior and boot space. Is the boot really usable, or is there a great big tank and all the associated pipe work in the way. Could seriously contemplate one of these if it does turn out to be a really practical road/track car. They look great and by all accounts are fab to drive.

Burton do a brief guide on their website;
http://www.burtonpower.com/tuning-guides/tuning-gu...

Rods and pistons, throttle bodies and then it's off to Cosworth by the looks of it. Doubt it's that cheap though.....

Fair enough, although I suspect that head/cam/throttle body upgrades will approach the supercharger costs for meaningful increases in power (> 200hp).

Folks like SBD, Raceline, Burton all have various packages I think.

I'm sure the panel gaps would be less obvious in any colour but white.

It was the one near the front wheel arch that was particularly bad - looked like it had been pranged slightly!

I love this car but am hoping that that was a pre-production car and that build quality will be solid.
