Any chance we could get some more threads on this?
Perhaps a Rowan Atkinson crashes his F1 forum of its own?

over_the_hill said: lazyitus said: To be fair, we all know that Rowan Atkinson can drive. Nearly every chav probably can't. AccidentsDriver error can happen to anybody. EFA Disagree Thanks Heavens we no longer dish out instant justice; none of us actually know what caused this; based on this unproven presumption, should he already have been swinging from a rope on a tree while the farmer who left mud all over the road was watching the spectacle breathing a quiet sigh of relief muttering "Wow, I've got away with that"? Innocent until proven guilty. Forget it at your peril. As far as I'm concerned he starts from the baseline of an AOK Chap; makes a lot of us laugh and likes fast cars; if there's any PHers who thinks they aren't the right ingredients, frankly I'd rather they weren't PHers.

Again? Maybe he should stick to a Kia Cee'd. He did quite well in that.

lmao, so true. He is just as bad using the chav word nsm3 said: By using that particular "C" word, are you not yourself perpetuating this class distinction, that you seem so keen to rail against?

Life Saab Itch said: That doesn't look like a "big off" to me. From the photo provided you can't see any damage. The car could well have just bottomed out on the grass verge and be stuck. It's only a major incident if you read the Daily Mirror article. His agent has released a statement saying that the only reason he was in hospital overnight was because he had no car to drive home in. So, ignoring t tter and the Dippy Mirror, we are left with a story of a car incident (not accident) where the car has unknown damage and the driver is "shaken, but not stirred". Doesn't sound that serious to me. McLaren will have the car looking like new in no time. Looks quite serious to me in this latest pic from the other thread

Typical comments replying to this story on newspaper websites already condemning Mr Atkinson for having the audacity to use a car capable of doing over 230mph on the public road, as if this was a crime in itself! Talk about guilty until proven innocent if you happen to be successful AND have taste and the means to choose your mode of transport. Let's see what really happened before we point the finger, shall we tabloid readers? I hope Rowan is back to normal soon and the F1 is back to health and in it's rightful place as his daily driver. He's one of us after all.

On GT Racer, one of the blokes that races £million classic cars explained that when you damage an expensive car its actually quite difficult to write one off. Unless the damage he has done runs into seven figures it will probably get repaired.
