My car is a 1.8 tdci Ford focus. Which I must say is the worst car I've ever had problem wise.
Id say its more of a misfire rather than a vibration to be honest just that you can feel it through the driving seat. Its like the car wants to cut out but doesn't and it really shakes the engine alot. As soon as I start driving it will be fine no problems with power what so ever. It will only happen when tye car is sat at traffic lights for example and when the car just gets over the 1/4 mark on the thermostat
It needs looking at by a competent diesel specialist. Most likely on that engine is one of the injectors is playing up but it could be anything.

Diagnosing diesel issues over the internet or by novices is virtually impossible due to the complexity of the common rail setup and the specialist tooling/knowledge needed to test components. I could tell you thats it's most likely the injectors, but you would still need to get them out and then get them tested, or at the very least do a leak off test first followed by a compression test. Both of which need test equipment that will cost you north of £200.

Find a bosch diesel specialist near you (ideally with some recommendations), pay some money and get it looked at properly.

Okay I guess I will have to do that, more money to pay out on the bloody car. Thanks very much for your input in trying to diagnose the problem for me I appreciate it.
