Could be something they used for development. My initial thought was Aston of some description as it looks like a bonded Ali structure. It also looks front engined.

Agreed - looks front engined to me as well.

And I'd also agree with that it's based on the generic Aston platform. I've found a couple of DB9 chassis images that while not exactly the same, have at least one or more bits that are the same.

Look at the bit just behind the front wheel arch.

It's the smaller 803 coupe platform. V8, V12 vantage etc.

...which is why I was reticent when I started down the mid-engined route - something didn't feel wuite right.

Its a good job that all that stink Mclaren made about their cars all being based around the same carbon central section hasn't gone over peoples heads.
