I don't know the answer, was just curious as I don't recognise it smile Looks like the photo is from 1985(ish) as both the red Golf and Transporter are C registration.

I'd say mk2 as it has a LHD wiper pattern, as was the norm at that time.

OT but I think my old quattro was from that garage.

I know its wrong. But all my eyes will let me see in that picture is the back end from the B pillar back of an E30 and the front end from something else. I think it is some low volume Lancia/Alfa/Fiat Coupe of some sort, but despite being obsessed with cars and having religiously read Classic and sports car for the last 25+ years I can't put my finger on what it is.

Agreed; early Mk2s had lhd wipers, rhd Mk1s did not.
