That is awesome. I love the styling (ok, rear wing is very over-the-top) and the details look super aggressive - the bonnet and the vents behind the front wheels combine beautifully with the beautiful shape of the Vantage. But I'm a bit biased ;-)

Add an "l" to "see" and it all makes sense

Love Aston, love this car, but, let's face it, imagine (just supposing) what you'd look like driving around town in something with a wing THAT big! (I do know of course it's a track car)laugh
Thats the trouble, you'd look like several types of arse driving something with that wing!

Wow! There are more holes than metal on that bonnet!

Well yes, except for the GT1 fiasco...
Yep, really shameful what's going on there. I think it won't be long before they're consigned to the history books.

Actually there's no metal on the bonnet - it's carbon fibre!

Who buys these sot of cars? Can anyone who has the cash and has worked up to the required racing licence just buy one and go GT3 racing?

YEP - ANYONE - you should see some of the fkwits that drive in the AMOC NGT type series - many are so slow it is a frickin joke. Sad but money is ALL you Need.

Wow. At least its sorts out what to do once my numbers come up... I've done Locost racing before and there you can get away with yourself and a mate. You might need a little more than that for GT3, I imagine...

FIA GT3 will require a decent licence though, surely. There are some good drivers in there and others that don't pretend to be amazing. Driving standards have been pretty good this year from the races I can recall watching (which is probably all of them!)

I'm waiting for GT2 to come back. but with only Porsche making GT2 cars it won't be fun.

You would've thought that working up to the requisite licence meant that you had sufficient experience and good racecraft at each level to proceed to the next. A bit like GT5!

???? The Ferrari 458 and 430, Porsche 997, Lotus Evora, Corvette C6.R, BMW M3, Jaguar XKR and Aston Martin Vantage (plus a privately developed Ford GT) are all competing this year in GT2 (or GTE as it is now known by the ACO) - The American Le mans Series, Le mans Series, Intercontinental le mans Cup and International GT Open all feature well supported GT2 or GTE classes - And its some of the best GT racing anywhere!

I love how whenever a new Aston road car is released everyone chirps up with "looks the same - Aston need to change the record" yet when a new race car based on said road car is released everyone loves it? Points for consistency.

Although it does look amazing.
