Those 4 Star fellows had a very nice looking 205 not so long ago. I love the aero on that 5 but find Alpina alloys marmite and I'm in the yuck camp.

From current stock, I'll take this:

That looks epic, got a soft spot for E32's but one with a V16....oh my

The thought of a V16 BMW engine brings to mind aero engines....maybe ze germans were up to something wink
Well they shoved a "BMW" V16 in a RR for Rowan Atkinson

http://www.autoblog.com/2011/07/18/rowan-atkinson-...

He said on the show he heard that they had developed the engine but decided not to go with it for various reasons. So he asked them to put it on one for the film...I guess Rolls Royce prob have few order from the Middle East now!

Is there nothing better to write about ? This car has been for sale for absolutely ages. There must literally be hundreds of equally newsworthy cars for sale.

I assume someone at PH Towers owed 4 Star Classics a favour.....
We have only just noticed it in the classifieds, sorry if we are a bit out of date frown

All 'spotted' stories (a regular article) come from the PH classifieds (trade and private sales) and as such we will feature dealer cars quite regularly as content. No money changes hands though, we just choose cars we like.
Fair enough...think you need a new spotter though wink I reckon they've had that car for six months! If they don't sell it now they never will biggrin

Sure am, as per my profile, and I do get what you mean. But if I just wanted to slag off BMW I would be pouring cold water over the BMW salesman story about residuals.

In stead what I mean is that for the same kind of money you could buy an 850 or merc sl which to me has a lot more appeal as a weekend car. Also I would never consider an old Alfa Sei or Maser q'porte as 'fun' car.

Absolute stunner.

I love the E32, and the Alpina treatment just looks 'right'.

The wheels are iconic, as are the decals.

These things were built and engineered properly.

Worth buying it and storing for a few years - I reckon that thse will rise up in value a few years down the line....

Joking aside, I understand your valid point. Still, I can tell you from experience it's rather nice crusing around in good 7 Series, S-Class or LS. The older the better in many respects.

Lovely. The only one in the classifieds on here is mad money though. I'm sure there was a ropey one on here for not a lot recently. There was also a E34 V8 B10 in the classifieds for £2000 not long ago. Would have been a nice wafter.

If that's the car I'm thinking of, it had "boost issues". Which would quite quickly make it dearer than this one to make serviceable. I've yet to see a decent condition B10 Bi-Turbo below £13k or so. I think Avantgarde are asking £20k for one presently, with their usual premium applied, however justified I do not know as I've had no dealings with them.

Still, a manual, blown, six has a very different appeal to an NA V12 auto and a buyer of one isn't that likely to be an impulse buyer of the other. Then there's the LHD/RHD thing which is a concern for many still, especially on larger cars.
