Thought I'd just suggest this "99% all there and a untouched standard van"

Looks slightly ambitious price wise...

Technically, lawful - if over-ambitious.

Including a couple of bags of rotten chassis bits with the V5 (if wanted!) makes it legal, I suppose! . rolleyes

Reported again anyway.

It doesn't, as much as he thinks it does. The monocoque must be complete to maintain the identity, so since it has no roof...

Indeed and the considerable bidding for what is clearly an illegal sale of a V5 without the car concerned demonstrates the level of interest that such activities commands. Bad new for all genuine classic car owners and wholly wrong. But as various posts on PH itself asking for ways to 'get around' the DVLA requirements suggest, a lot of people are not interested in keeping within the rules and are seeking actively ways of escaping the legal requirements. I keep saying this cannot be done, legally, but any enthusiast can see that such nonsense are being registered and that is to the detriment of the genuine classic market and classic enthusiasts.

But regrettably that is not deterring a lot of spivs trying this on. I anticipate a number of cases in the future where the DVLA and Vosa remove these nonsences from the road when the obviously dishonest representations become apparent. There are regular illegally supposedly 'registered' kit cars and specials for sale on Ebay and most of these fall away because despite the careful misleading wording the buyers smell a rat.

I no longer buy unregistered kit cars unless I am certain that the provenance is genuine and fully documented which is probably true in about 5% of the 'barn find' kit cars offered in this way. These kits are really of no use if registration is to be reasonably easily achieved and are really only useful as a source for spares. Sadly there are still buyers about who do not appreciate this. They will in the end and an expensive lesson it will be. Which is a great pity because genuine enthusiasts deserve fair trade.

Seems that if "See original listing" link is clicked, it is still possible to report the auction to eBay.

Would PHers reading this please do that?

Thanks!
