Tonylandy from Leeds has copied and pasted your listing.

I hope whoever gets their car stolen has a tracker fitted.

I doubt very much if that will happen
Chances are it won't have a tracker so you, Tonylandy and whoever steals it will get away with it.

If people would just live and let live !
I hope it isn't your Land Rover that gets nicked by Tonylandy then.

what ever makes you feel good, personally I wouldn't have bothered, he's only selling a plate no one is saying where it will end up, I've got 3 land rovers 1972, 1978, 1983 and they are all tax exempt, well they are now, are you going to dob me in as well.
"If that includes the Disco' 200 powered Triggers Broom you have for sale I'm sure there's a legal term for it. Oh yes; Fraud".

Whats you problem.!!!!! Get a ******* life you sad ****
You knew exactly what you had for sale and what it was likely to be used for because you have just admitted doing it yourself. Ringing vehicles to avoid paying road tax? Okay tax evasion on such a scale won't get HMRC's pulses going but a tax exempt Land Rover is worth more so you could argue you did it to elevate any potential profit margins. That is fraud.

I've been contacted by the seller of this listing (via the Morris Minor Owners Club) and he seems genuine and probably didn't realise he was potentially breaking the law. Selling the kit to convert a saloon is fine (I considered it for my split screen) but if the identity is used to bypass the any assessment due to being a "Radically Altered Vehicle" it could be catastrophic.

Literally a death trap on the road.

If the identity is used on a stolen vehicle someone will loose their pride and joy and as enthusiasts, many of whom consider their car a member of the family that's almost unthinkable.

I honestly believe he didn't know and hopefully he'll take my advice and revise the item, but as a very high ranking judge once told me...

"Prisons are full of people who's only crime was ignorance".

Well he certainly lost this argument. I dislike intentional dishonesty and this sort of activity needs to be effectively outlawed. Personally I think he deserves more! As you suggest these are ringing kits and having had various cars stolen I appreciate you efforts to stop such criminality.

I don't usually antagonise people that much (intentionally) and I have a rule only make contact if eBay fail to remove the listing. Getting his mate in Leeds to sell it instead after removing it was a low blow. Admitting some of his cars are ringers was the cherry on the cake. wink

bet it doesn't look like this now! LOL! same winch as mine, or is it the same vehicle with a few changes
Whats happened you've been quiet lately. lost your tongue
I won the argument so continuation would have been futile.

If you'd like to keep in touch I'd be more than happy to visit and/or Tonylandy in prison sometime.

All the best LK

you're a cheeky bd I'll say that
Give me your address and when we're next in the Norfolk area me and the lads will willingly call and lift any classic cars you have.
Doesn't matter if you're not in, we'll lift them anyway.LOL!!
I'm not sure how to reply to that one. Selling ringing kits, admitting ringing his own vehicles and threatening to "lift" (the first smart move he's made using lift instead of take, steal or nick) my classic cars. A gang traveling hundreds of miles to commit premeditated robbery goes down well this close to Emneth.

It does remind me of the school yard. I've upset someone so now they're coming mob handed. hehe

The Police certainly are interested,

Search for AVCIS and report cases to them , they do take notice and not only approach EBAY but also seem to enjoy a few early morning starts on sellers addresses!

A big smiling face to hide the obvious criminal possibilities!
That ID is most likely MBF319H as it's the only Rover out of all the possible number plates that match his 'example'
