Well spotted. As usual a ringing kit best avoided. Doubt it will sell and will be on again. Obviously not genuine.GinG15 said:
And a double whammy here as Dutton Cars didn't exist in 1968, so it's a ringer of a ringer!CanAm said:

Am I doing this right? eBay Linky
Yep. That's another re-listed one that's we've posted and reported about half a dozen times now. As for the Triggers Broom kit car the sooner it sells and the guy gets sued the better. Cliftonite said:
As eBay haven't lifted this one I've placed a bid. I'll be sure to leave honest feedback if I win. C

Indeed. Motorcycle ringing is virtually undetectible. The ringing of cars is more difficult but as the constant disappearance of decent motors confirms, it is still a real problem. Efforts such as yours to limit the repetitions are an exccelent effort to make such illegality more difficult to achieve. But some still get through. Caveat Emptor must be every enthusiasts approach! Pity the DVLA/ VOSA are not more effective in reducing this criminality. One of my first bikes was a Honda CB1-400 import. I was told I could get a UK registered frame and swap all the bits over to bypass registering and a VOSA inspection.
Because I wasn't too keen stripping the bike apart and putting it all back together again. It would have taken a week between work and family stuff and the chances of losing a part or being distracted was great. I took it to a local bike dealer/garage (now justifiably out of business) who simply ground off the original frame number and stamped the new one on.
I refused to pay as it wasn't the job I asked them to do and demanded my spare frame be returned. It had also had the numbers ground off and chopped into pieces it was a collection of paperweights.
That is the last time I ever let anyone work on any of my vehicles.
I ended up selling the CB1-400 for parts and buying a UK model CBR600. I did buy another CB1-400 a few years later with a knackered engine and fitted a 900 Fireblade engine two years before Honda made the Hornet.

can anybody of the specialists tell me, which Make is behind this (kitcar?)reg:
TLG482L
Not from any of the websites I use.. Could be the plate has never been Registerd to that car? There are KC ringers about supposedly on unregistered plates sadly. Have you got any photos or further information?TLG482L
neither me is finding any info on the specific webpages, thats why i asked here
i got a scan of a v5 (the old one, without C) with that reg.
it shows a 1972 date and the make is from a kitcar manufacturer.
could be a coulor copy, which was photoshopped...i dont know

very strange on that scan is that the reg-date must have its origin in the donor.
but the v5 says number of former keepers "one"
last change of keeper 1982
the kit manufacturer started in 1982
the specific model (which is named correctly in the v5) started 1985
the chassis-numer indicates that the kit was built 1981
very strange......

It seems to me very probable that something is not right about this car. but the v5 says number of former keepers "one"

If the kit car model was not around until three years after the build then something is most definitely suspect here. I well remember a supposed Dutton Sierra offered recently on Ebay and highlighted on here which was clearly not a Dutton Sierra. Indeed the car had no connection with Dutton apart from using the identity of the Dutton The car offered was obviously a Robin Hood creation masquerading as a Dutton Serra to avoid IVA.
Best avoided I think. There are these creations about and caution with the details of registration of kit cars is the best check.
Extreme caution need I think.
