It states that you have to take the shell (for legal reasons) then says postage is £20. You know its wrong, I know its wrong but the wording of the ad makes the ad legal,id just love to see a connect shell being put in a post box.

It would probably get lost in the post and end up of retailtradeoutlet (formerly known as longlivethehoff) eBay account.

Yeah those are legal, it's like selling the chassis of a car with the v5, perfectly fine.

Description suggests this kind of thing is quite common.......

Both reported, PH Vigilante's thumbup

Both reported
I also reported both of these on the weekend, yet eBay appear to have ignored us. They're both still listed.

Is it right that you need a MOT to transfer a number plate?

Wonder if I could get a dodgy MOT tester to MOT a shell? hehe

Yes, although I know of a plate that was originaly on a type 57 Bugatti that hasnt been in the uk in over 50 years, that was put onto retention by sticking a 57 chassis plate onto a kit car that looked a little like a tye 37! . . . .

Apparently because it's listed as an I.D for a Heritage shell restoration it's okay, but eBay and the seller will have to ensure (although have no legal obligation to ensure) the identity goes onto a Heritage build and not a stolen car.
