Maybe you have personal experience, but some of my happiest moments are Walkinshaw related, so I'll go with the original view that he was a legend...

That's a great attitude...you know Hitler liked dogs, too?

Good old Tom. He knew how to make work and money. Jaguar were like putty in his hands. Tom Walkinshaw is a legend and sorely missed.
He was a and not missed at all by the myriad of poor sods he ripped off in his career. IMHO wink
I am sure quite a few people were harshly treated by TW, Mark Skaife in Aus V8s. was bankrupted by TW and his service company unless I am mistaken.

A member of JDC had one of these and only drove it once, i.e. home from buying it - it nearly killed and deafened him, heat exhaustion and a few other road use failings were mentioned as well.

Buy a Jaguar V12 now and at very little money - its the only way to experience the glory of 12 cyclinders for us normal mortals.

Jaguar Sport XJR-15........got one hanging on the wall, looking at it as I'm writing this. Great looking car, certainly one of my favorites. I just hope the new owner drives the thing and if I had $485,000 (Canadian) layin arround it would be sittin in my garage. You could bet I'd be driving that puppy. driving SEE YA AT THE RACES!!!

My rant is probably out of place but TW was utter filth. He only went to Aus as he could no longer conduct money making activities in the UK and he repeated his antics down there before having to come home. A horrible, horrible, little piece of st. Not an honest pound in his wallet. Took peoples' money and/or their health. Total scum.

Love the car. biggrin

Perhaps its on the market as a result of the XJR 15's renewed interest due to it's recent exposure in 'film'?

My boys have got all of the Pixar cars, maybe if I brought this home for them it would finally complete the collection...

Who did TWR do loads of tuning and development for again?

Was it BMW? errr no

Was it Mazda.... - errr YES!
He worked with both companies, actually. But I digress. The XJ220 is a better, faster, more polished vehicle.

Weirdly it says 350 at the top and by the time you've waded through the worst spelt advert I've ever seen they've dropped to 275.

I assume as an apology for the shocking spelling. biggrin

XJ220 for its shape, road presence and chassis paired with the XJR15s interior (bare CF) and V12. That would be my dream motor.

Both are flawed gems, but gems all the same.

One of these has always been on my lottery list just because of the rarity, the looks of the thing is only an added bonus. Slightly off topic though but that steering wheel is a proper FAT MAN wheel.... even room for a belly!

Looks like the original owner got in after a rather large lunch and let his stomach relax, Homer Simpson style...
