Sure its not the MGF with the too-high seating position? I've heard it said about them but never about an MX5 - though drivers over about 6'3 sometimes find height an issue which lower seats can help with.
a "chunky" 6'5" here and no issues with mx5 seat height, driving position or comfort.

That's ok, Im 6'2" so I should be fine. After looking at what feels like a million ads I no longer care whether it's an import or UK car. In fact the eunos' do look like having more interesting specs.

Oh, and I now get the Bounty bit in your name, it's the chocolate bar right?

I jest smile

...could be an early mk1 mx-5 if seat position too high, my 95 vintage felt much lower than an early 1990 one I had a spin in...if your buying a 5, make sure the old tin worm hasn't set in, sills etc can suffer badly...an extra £500 quid for a good one could save you in the long run...

In traffic a small Fiat's about as quick a car as you can get.
Brilliant logic, a bicycle also the quickest way to cross central London during rush hour and your point is?
He said the Audi goes like stink..it doesn't anyone who has driven one can testify to that..it wasn't even quick in its day..150bhp in car that weights 1600kg... I'll let you do that maths.

The Audi does have a certain look. But come on people, let's face reality here. Cabbys like this aren't renowned for their handling, and the Audi is probably up there with the most benign, anti-handling cabs of that time. I've had a fair few Audi's and each one has fallen way short of the mark. Sure it's pretty chic for the money, but badge snobbery aside, you won't be getting one of these to put a smile on your face. Compared to the BMW though, you're more likely to find one that's in decent condition for not a lot of outlay.

The MX5 is the only one I haven't driven or owned out of the three. I've read that the driving position is too high. But now we're complaining about it being too low! God, I really need to scratch this MX5 itch. Even the douche bags on Jalopnik can't get enough of the Miata.
I used to write for Jalopnik, had enough of Wert, the guy is a dick.
