How to find car stuck in field in Hebden Bridge
Discussion
I too have been searching for this Jimp for years. I spent hours scouring Google maps, but eventually I did get a reply from the photographer on Facebook, and he kindly put a geolocation on the photograph. This led me to South Shields Farm, Delf Lane, Wadsworth, Hebden Bridge, so I wrote to the occupant. Sadly, the following was his reply:
Hi Stephen,
Thank you for your letter dated 19th June about the PK Jimp at Hebden Bridge.
Unfortunately about 1 or 2 years ago a scrap merchant from the Cragg Vale area close to Hebden came to collect a lot of old cars and scrap from that field. The jimp is no longer there. I have tried to find the details of the scrap merchant but haven't found anything so far on line about them - they probably don't have a web presence.
I wish you well in your search.
Kind regards,
Piers
Doesn't sound too promising does it, but if anyone local can pursue the trail of the illusive 'Cragg Vale scrap merchant' then there's just a chance I suppose.
Good luck, and please do keep me informed! (I'm the aforementioned inheritor of Edd's website, www.pkjimp.co.uk)
(Edd, I'm still trying to find your Jimp. Last seen in Llanelli, I'm sure it'll turn up in the end!)
Cheers
Stephen

gutted! would have been a massive project, looking at it. Oh well on to the next, I was told there was a Jimp sat in a field in Norwich.... and then John's old one that went to a farm in Catton North Yorkshire about 10 years ago. That's THE JIMP I want! and the first one I saw.
Norwich one is green, Catton one was a red hard back I have very little other information.
Mike Copeland the previous owner of BPV 307Y the "Bees in transit" Jimp may know more of the location of the Norwich Jimp

Just to let ya know, these both belong to my mate. Who is quite interested in this thread obviously
He's has the v5s for both the Jimp and the Fox.
Make him an offer
Although it may be that all he owns now is the V5s
It seems they both went to a scrapyard, I would be happy to make an offer if you know where the Jimp is.He's has the v5s for both the Jimp and the Fox.

Stephen, my Jimp is in safe hands, I've spoken to the owners and am arranging a date to go and have a look at it, in mind to buy it back. It's still in LlanelliHi Stephen,
