Is there a real risk of you being hijacked?

I just think they wear out your lock mechanism
The auto-locking in my old 307 saved me from being pulled out of my car. I had the window open though so instead I just got my teeth caved in and the door handle pulled off.
yikes

Where was this???
Leeds, Burley Road, got the guy arrested though and he did 4 months in jail for it.
I always hit the lock button when I'm driving around town; there's been a few instances over the past year where someone has tried to get into my car whilst I'm stationary in traffic. Right dodgy fkers as well; most recent was at the start of summer when some knuckle-dragging bottom-feeder walked up to my passenger door in traffic and tried to open it (and failed) because he wanted a lift 20 feet down the road. Despite the fact he'd get there faster walking than me taking him, he took great offence to me not opening the door for him and telling him to get'tae. Sad sign of the times TBH.

The 'mentally challenged' occupants of that car damn near got run over by their own vehicle. They'd have been safer staying inside, belted in.

Still, it does prove that if you are a cretin, you never know when you might feel the need to jump out of a moving car.

I activated it on my 220 with a load of button pressing combinations, I'll see if I can dig out the procedure as it would be worth trying??
For that model Modeo you unlock it and then hold the Lock and Unlock buttons together on the fob for a few seconds until the indicators flash.

OP: Maybe that might work?

Why not just lock the doors manually every time you get in? It can't be that hard to remember - I've managed since I passed and I'm an idiot.
