Wow i am shocked by how bad the driving is in this clip! I never saw anything like this last time I was there (2007) what a bunch of idiots many of whom seem out of control ie clueless as to how to drive on track.Fastra said:

When I first started buying the annual pass it was about 400 euros - and if you bought a bike ticket it worked for bike or car, but a car ticket only worked for a car.

I honestly can't recall if it was or not, I was 12 and we were there for the European Truck GP Got a few hours left at the end of the Saturday and Dad finally relented and took me for a few laps.
It was certainly nothing like as "Flash" as the current set up is. I also remember spending a lot of time in the museum trying to learn it
I do remember sitting in the bloody car for 2 hours after we got there thanks to the accreditation office not being where it was supposed to be...

And in fairness, accidents like that can happen anywhere. I saw a similar result many years ago at Brands with a Lotus Carlton that got loose at the bottom of Paddock Hill Bend , dug in and rolled a couple of times. Cue end of one Grunt Carlt!
Didn't end it if it's the one I know about - owner reshelled the car with one of the last LC shells avaliable and it's still around nowI was there , came off as the e30 (video from the back window ) car comes on ok everyones going too fast but a 30kmh limit through the road works on the auto barn would have warnings of work at least 1/2 km before , there was one sign 30 yards before a truck , on a blind left brow . Really if regulars like the ring taxi crashed no one stood a chance ? I was in a classic mini and not going that fast , but really the track should have been closed or earlier warnings should have been in place .

Haven't read all the thread but was the roadworks sign at the entrance up highlighting where works were taking place?
Reply to ridds: yes the led ring map was working but it's not very accurate , when I saw it at the start four sections were flashing for the roadworks but they were only working in one area, in my mind it was an unnecessary risk when the could have closed the circuit as they usually do for barrier repairs from a previous accident .
