Ok, I'm 22, currently drive an EP3 Type R. I've always had an itch for a Supra (would have to be manual!) and I've figured I could get insured on one for £800 (surprising as I pay £1k on the Civic).

Obviously my fuel costs would rocket but please, for the sake of my bank balance, talk me out of this!

Do it. If you are afraid of the potential costs then a 200SX might be a cheaper, more practical solution.

Get the Supra.

I really like them. Except that a GTR is SUCH a better car in all respects.

The pop up headlight versions are becoming incredibly expensive for what hey are because the are very popular with drifters because of their tweak friendly engine and good weight distribution. Then non pop up light versions are much cheaper, but don't look as good IMO.

I like the Supra. Great shape in standard form. Just add some decent wheels and a good valet and away you go smile

In short. Go buy it smile

I've had 2, first when I was 19. Huge amounts of fun, great driving although a lot of people did tend to comment that they were a bit boy racerish. Not a huge amount to run, wasn't too bad on petrol but did go through brakes quite quickly.

I've owned both a TT and an N/A, the N/A was definitely disappointing having owned the TT first, I thought I didn't need the power as I never used it but without it felt rather slow.

That's the reason I want one, not normally a fan of modified but that is loverly along with most of the cars in the first fast and furious, imagine owning that one it would be recognised everywhere! (would just need to find a Ferrari to replicate the race lol)

Cheap to buy.

The bills could be ........... interesting.

I'd want to be sure I could handle the (potential) running costs before taking the plunge.
